Had a compulsion to seek out the music of Eric Clapton today. I really like his voice. I just had to dig sort of deep to find some songs that felt fresh. Additionally I mixed in a couple like-minded songwriters... melancholy but pretty stuff, yo. Listened to tons of Mac Demarco and John Mayer in my day, but always fun to search through their stuff to put in a new context like this. There's some delicious guitar up in this 40-song scho-sha go ahead and enjoy my first playlist of the year, Clapton G00dies 😁

aaaaaaaaand here’s 2001! Slightly shorter than my usual yearlist at 137 songs. Many gems to be discovered and rediscovered!! Might be the tail end of boy bands, more emphasis on bland rock like 3 doors down... but also awesome artists like Peaches, Guided by Voices, and the Bouncing Souls putting out their best stuff ever!

New playlist, “After You” aka sad bastard songs and instrumentals! Plus a neat avant garde Jazz album I found sandwiched in there. Having a Dave Matthews phase, still digging Mac Demarco, Joyce Manor, The Lemonheads... circling back to Toro y Moi, QOTSA, Unknown Mortal Orchestra, and others. 2 new favorites are Ducktails and Boy Pablo. 2001 is almost done ✅ have a great week!!

New playlist! “Yesterday’s On My Mind” I like to make mixes although maybe I should record a podcast soon... also I’m so very close to finishing the yearlist for 2000. But ok this is where I’m at, musicwise. More mellow stuff but sometimes not mellow. Guitars are always my fav.
