h your business grow! FRED HOWER as “The Ohio Nurseryman.” Fred Hower has 50+ years experience as a horticultural consultant, certified arborist and landscape designer. A graduate of The Ohio State University, he teaches in the horticulture department at Columbus State Community College. In addition to hosting ‘Plant Talk,’ he’s written more than 400 columns in 90 newspapers and has made frequent guest appearances on television. He recently received the “Distinguished Contribution Award” from the Ohio Nursery and Landscape Association, and is co-author of the “Tree and Shrub Gardening for Ohio.”
