After one year of sitting on the floor of the Atlantic Ocean, the Susan Rose has finally been resurfaced. The commercial fishing vessel took on water during the original salvage job a year ago when it sank just off Point Pleasant Beach.

Family takes on too much water and their boat starts to go under! This is by far the craziest video we've filmed at the Point Pleasant Canal. They were extremely lucky to have multiple NJ State Police boats near them. The boat drifted out of the canal and out of frame and was towed to a sandbar where the water was slowly pumped out. Everyone on board the boat was safely rescued by NJ State Police. When you're boating through the canal, make sure passengers are moved to the back of the boat and keep the bow of your boat raised up to avoid situations like this. Hope everyone has a safe and fun 2024 boating season!
