Organic cosmetics, natural cosmetics and grandmother's recipes: no need to spend a fortune on beauty products to look your best! Here are some simple beauty tips for face, body and hair care. Simple, organic and inexpensive, we love it!
There are several advantages of making cosmetics at home. First, it's economical, because it only requires one or two products that are already in your kitchen cupboards. It is much more affordable than the small jars found at the pharmacy. Plus, you know exactly what you're slathering on your skin. Many cosmetics are full of products that are harmful to the skin and to health. Economical, ecological and organic, these are beauty habits that speak to us.
Honey Mask
Known since Antiquity for its moisturizing and healing properties , honey is very beneficial for the skin . Very rich in minerals, vitamins and antioxidants, its natural antibiotics fight against allergies, bacteria and infections. In addition, it helps to fight effectively against acne problems. Paired with ground cinnamon, it's one of the best natural ways to get rid of pimples!
3 tablespoons of honey
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
This recipe deeply cleanses the skin, eliminates pimples, tightens pores, eliminates acne scars and gives a perfectly even glowing complexion!
Olive oil cleanser
Removing make-up is a daily ritual to which you do not derogate. This very gentle make-up remover makes it possible to remove make-up very effectively, even on waterproof mascara . It's eco-friendly eco-friendly products instead of polluting synthetics – skin care and day care preparation.
Brown sugar scrub
There are several recipes for making a sugar scrub . The most effective is to mix:
six tablespoons of brown sugar
six tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil
Apply the mixture to the face or body, gently massaging the skin, then rinse with lukewarm water. Olive oil gives the skin a wonderful complexion, in addition to making it smooth and silky. Its detoxifying and rejuvenating properties are alluring benefits.
Cocoa Bronzing Powder
No need to rush to Sephora to buy a bronzing powder, here is how to make it at home, thanks to a few ingredients from your kitchen… Cocoa powder will do the job perfectly! For optimal quality, you can add:
Cinnamon powder
Potato starch
A few drops of lavender essential oil
The amounts vary depending on your skin tone. Since you are the designer, you have the possibility of finding the perfect shade for your pretty face.
Coconut oil hair mask
Using coconut oil is a good way to make your hair soft, shiny and healthy. Throw away your hair conditioners and hair creams, you don't need them anymore! A jar of unrefined coconut oil is a perfect multi-purpose moisturizer. For a little extra: add castor oil to the base of the hair. This product, which you can buy in pharmacies or in any natural products store, makes hair grow faster. The results are impressive.
Baking soda shampoo
Manufacturers are looking for products that smell good and that foam a lot, and we don't realize that we are using extremely aggressive products. Baking soda will get rid of any shampoo or conditioner residue, and your hair will have a natural shine after just a few treatments.
First, mix:
1 part baking soda
3 parts water.
You can double or triple the recipe depending on the length of your hair. Apply the mixture to your hair, leave on for 2-3 minutes, then rinse. Use baking soda instead of your regular shampoo and your hair will be forever grateful.
Conditioner with vinegar
The pH of the hair is a bit acidic, very close to that of an apple cider vinegar-based conditioner. On the other hand, many hair products that we use, such as the majority of shampoos, bleaches, dyes, and permanents are high in alkaline content. Rinsing the hair with apple cider vinegar helps rebalance the hair's natural pH, removing some of the buildup (excess alkalinity) resulting from the use of these products.
Chamomile Highlights
Boil a cup of water to which you then add dried chamomile flowers or two or three tea bags. Let cool then pour the liquid on your hair. Let it dry in the sun for about thirty minutes, or until your hair is dry. Wash your hair, which should already be a little lighter. Repeat the exercise once a week, all over your head or just on certain strands, and you will be surprised to see them lighten up so much.
