SWIPE FOR ROLES ➡️ STUDENT FILM CAST AND CREW CALL: ‘Three Minutes to Smoke a Cig’ from ManQ and Victor Omojola, is casting for all roles and interviewing for specific crew positions. Below are logisitics if interested!

- Synopsis: When a young creative finds himself in an unfamiliar setting—what appears to be a corporate job interview—he steps outside to smoke a cigarette and prepare for an interview he never scheduled.
- Filming is set to take place in September/Early October
- You will receive an email with zoom link on the day of your interview/audition. Actors will also receive sides 1-2 days before your audition date.
- No prior experience acting or working with film required! Everyone is welcome. We are looking to have a fun experience!
- Audition/Interview Dates are: AUG 22 – 26, and SEP 5 – SEP 8

ONE MORE DAY!!! The film festival starts tomorrow at 4 and “Maximum Feasible Participation” will be the 4th film in the line up!! Another comedy directed and written by you don’t want to miss!! (Fun fact: This is one of two films involving a turtle)

The festival will begin at 4 and have an intermission from 6-7 pm. The second half of programming will be from 7-9 pm.

The countdown to the film festival begins and our first CUFP funded film to be featured is Media Naranja directed and written by !!

On a winter night in the city, an English-speaking Latin-American, Rocio, meets Maricela, a lost Spanish-speaking immigrant who has recently arrived to America. Against a language barrier, they must find their way to Maricela’s home and wrestle with their potential feelings for each other.

We'll be having our annual film festival in-person on April 22/23! We'll have more information for you as the event approaches, but for now we'd like to share the submission form for the festival. We encourage undergraduate students to submit their films of all genres and scales. Please have your films submitted by April 17th at 11:59pm at the latest.

This Thursday Lux and Ava will share their experiences in the industry! Lux has sold a script to Netflix, worked with NBC, and Park pictures, and been on some amazing sets. A Talk with Cailley Frank-Lehrer

This Wednesday, CUFP brings you the next installment in our film industry speaker series! Cailley Frank-Lehrer works in festival & event operations as well as film & television production and editing. Cailley has worked with DOC NYC, Athena Film Festival, Nantucket Film Festival, Rooftop Films, and, as a proud Michigander, with her hometown’s Traverse City Film Festival. Her film credits include 16 Acres, God Loves Uganda and Capitalism: A Love Story. CUFP will be hosting a short talk followed by a Q&A. Hope to see all of you there!
