Hello, Home Sessions FAM! 💛 This season made us stay at our homes to stop the further spread of the Corona Virus so, we chose this song, "Lilim" by Victory Worship, as it is especially timely, with the Holy week around the corner and the challenging season we are enduring globally.

At a time of uncertainty, pain, and suffering, let us not forget to look to the One who will sustain us and the God who sits on the throne. Let us keep our eyes fixed to our giver of hope, great healer, our redeemer, and the one who loves us all. May we never forget who we are and where we should stand, in His shelter where we can have peace beyond understanding despite the storm. Let’s worship and sing our hearts away-- of the doubts, anxiety, and worries. Keep looking up and reminding yourselves of who He is - far greater than anything we will ever face. This too shall pass!

You may have heard her sweet angelic voice in some of our videos and gigs, but not many know that she is one of the most involved, hardworking, and compassionate members of our family behind the scenes. She is the tita we never knew we needed. She keeps us grounded and fueled to do more with our platform. Rachel, we are so grateful to have you and we hope you have one of your best birthdays yet! We are so incredibly grateful to everyone who made Purple Night 2 happen - the team, the acts, and the audience. We hope that everyone had a great time, and were blessed by Gia’s testimony and life. Gia may already be in her real Home but her memory will always be kept in our hearts.

We realized shortly before Purple Night 2 that it fell exactly on the anniversary of our first HomesessionsMNL event. During that event, we had Gia as coordinator and host. We never would have thought that we would be celebrating her life a year later.

We’d like to thank the volunteers, acts, and attendees of Purple Night 2. Your generosity has truly been a blessing to us. To our venue sponsor, 19 East, we are so grateful that we had the opportunity to host an event in your amazing gig venue. His grace truly provided the best for this event - the best team, the best acts, the best venue and the best crowd.

We are still grieving the loss of our friend and team co-founder here on earth, but Gia is Heaven’s gain. She is now Home and in the arms of the One who loves her most. We will keep Gia’s memory in our hearts. Our journey as an organization has only just begun, and we will continue creating, remembering the wonderful things Gia taught us.

We can say for sure that we’ve been changed for the better because we knew her. She lived a full life at 23 and we are rejoicing because she is now face to face with Jesus, her greatest Love. Join us tomorrow as we celebrate Gia’s life through music at Purple Night 2, 19 East.

We are excited to celebrate Gia's wonderful life on Sunday. This has got us reminiscing on some of our best memories with her. One of these memories was having her host our very first Homesessions event which will be exactly a year ago on Sunday. Though we wanted to have more time with her here on earth, she surely is having the best time in heaven. We're sure that you have a great story about her, too!

HomesessionsMNL is a collective of music lovers who came together to establish a platform for aspiring artists. Gia was one of the founding members of the team. She was an incredible blessing and HomesessionsMNL would not be where it is right now if it weren’t for her.

Martti Franca is a blues/pop singer-songwriter behind the hit single Spaces. He writes about his experiences with love and life. His beginnings in music was in musical theatre where he met Gia. For Purple Night 2 (Tribute Gig To Gia Garcia), he's paying tribute to Gia by deviating from the usual sawi lyrics, and singing her favorite Broadway tunes.

Telling stories through their songs, is the Alternative-Folk band, The Ridleys. The Ridleys is a band composed of four members: Benny Manaligod (Vocalist), Jan De Vera (Lead Guitarist), Joric Canlas (Bassist), and Bryant Ayes (Drummer).

Life is always in a constant state of change. It has its fair share of ups and downs, love and loss, hope and despair. Despite its highs and lows, we have to keep living. We have to be in a constant state of living awake, taking each and every moment of life with utmost hope. This is what Sleep Is The Enemy stands for. This is what they aim to remind us.

Sleep Is The Enemy is a local indie rock band who has been around since 2011 making music with progressive ambient arrangements to tell stories of life.

They are college friends who have gigged in places like Saguijo, Route 196, and B-Side. There have been spurts of hiatuses along the way but their passion for music still lives on and drives them to make music regardless of the season they are in.

Janina Vela is a popular Filipino YouTuber. She runs a self-titled channel on which she posts makeup and beauty tutorials, and more. Her YouTube videos do not just showcase her techniques of applying makeup and talking about fashion, but also depict her everyday life as a normal teenager.

Today, Vela has over 664k subscribers on her YouTube channel. In addition, she is also famous on other social networking sites like Facebook, Twitter and Instagram with thousands of fans and followers.

Right now, Janina Vela is making her way to the music industry as a singer songwriter. Her singles include 'Hesitate', 'Curtain Call' and 'Sorry I Left' feat. Donny Pangilinan-- all under Universal Records.

Had a wonderful weekend in Baguio! We’d like to thank ENC Baguio for your warmth and hospitality. This marks our first out-of-town gig and the second activity we had without Gia (the first was Purple night while she was admitted to the hospital.) It’s definitely different without her, but through God’s Grace, we’ll make it through this difficult time.

We would like to thank her for everything she’s done for our team, and her family for sharing her with us. We wouldn’t have this platform without Gia.

We are now preparing for Purple Night 2 as a thanksgiving and tribute night. Her life of faith was truly an inspiration to others. We are truly grateful that God brought her into our lives. All proceeds will go into helping her family pay for medical and funeral expenses. Details to be announced this week.

As we prepare to go on our first out of town gig, a milestone for our group, we would like to take this opportunity to acknowledge and remember one of our founding members, Gia Garcia.

Gia was a pillar of HomeSessionsMNL. Her energy and thoughtfulness helped gel together our little group of music lovers. She was always singing for the Lord — always glorifying Him through music. She was a worshipper through and through. Gia went home with the Lord last month. We will continue her legacy by pressing on and spreading messages of faith, hope, and love through music.

Gia, we love you very very much. We are very thankful that God brought our group together. May our platform be used for His glory. We know you’re having fun making music up there.

For our friends in Baguio, see you tomorrow at a-cause-tic night! We’re excited to sing songs of hope for you.
