As we commemorate the Juneteenth holiday, we’re remembering the freedoms of the past – long fought for, hard won – and reminding ourselves of the importance for every human being to be free. We celebrate the freedom found in music – the power of music to liberate our voices and our emotions, to share our stories, and to change our world.

Celebrate the freedom found in music with us tomorrow as Classical California’s Evening Host and Resident Artist, Lara Downes presents a program of music by Black composers, reflecting on freedom and celebrating the limitless power of creative expression.

Join us for “Let Freedom Ring: a Musical Celebration of Juneteenth” tomorrow, June 19th, from 8PM – 12AM: https://www.kdfc.com/articles/juneteenth-playlist
