Which edition of the new 2K game should you purchase?
NBA 2K20 Standard Edition
If playing 2K is a nothing more than a hobby, and you aren’t planning on investing your time into the MyTEAM mode, then the Standard Edition of the game is going to be your best option.
Available to pre-order at £49.99/$59.99 on PS4, Xbox One & Nintendo Switch and £39.99/$49.99 on PC, it is the cheapest edition on the market and still comes with its fair share of benefits at launch.
5,000 VC will give players the opportunity to make a couple of early purchases on their MyCAREER or MyTEAM, whilst you will also receive the MyPLAYER clothing capsule.
There is also the opportunity to get stuck into MyTEAM, with a respectable 5,000 MyTEAM points as well as 10 MyTEAM league packs, with one being delivered each week for the first 10 weeks following release.
NBA 2K20 Digital Deluxe Edition
As the name suggests, this year’s Deluxe Edition of 2K will be exclusively available as a digital download.
This edition of the game is suited to those who take their 2K games a little more seriously, coming in at a price of £74.99/$79.99 on console and £54.99/$59.99 on PC.
This edition is all about MyTEAM. Users will receive 10,000 MyTEAM points, 10 MyTEAM league packs and 10 MyTEAM heat check packs.
NBA 2K20 Legend Edition
For those who eat, sleep and breathe 2K, this is the edition for you. Available in both physical and digital formats, the top tier edition of 2K will set you back £84.99/$99.99 on console and £69.99/$84.99 on PC.
This edition is for those who want to be the best, and it will go a long way to helping you achieve that goal, as it comes packed with a range of exclusive benefits.
Players who choose the Legend Edition will receive 45 MyTEAM packs (20 league, 20 heat check and five theme packs) and two sapphire cover athlete cards, both Dwayne Wade and Anthony Davis.
There are also two exclusives to the MyPLAYER feature, with Legend Edition users receiving the MyPLAYER apparel and MyPLAYER shoe collection. Legend users will also receive the standard clothing capsule.
With competitive gaming on the rise and the NBA 2K19 League about to enter its playoff phase, this is definitely the mode for those who think they have what it takes to compete with the best.
