She was a resident of Twin Falls most of her young adult life. Betty was a proud graduate of Twin Falls High School. She continued her education at Draughn’s Business College in Dallas, Texas. After graduation, Betty was employed by her father as a bookkeeper for many years at Tolman Livestock and Transportation. Later in her life she became involved in the casino gaming industry, and moved to Wendover, Nevada with Roy.
Betty was preceded in death by both of her parents E.A and Maude, her late husband Roy Dee Conner, sons Jeff Conner and Elwyn “Slugger” Slagowski, daughter Annette Slagowski, grandsons Michael Jay Connell Jr. and Devin Hawthorne, and granddaughter Mackenzie Jo Dyer. She is survived by her sister Mary and John Stewart of Caldwell, Idaho. 6 children: Dion and Trina Connell of Nampa, Idaho; Kellye and Dwight Finch of Hermiston, Oregon; Brenda and Tom Ambrose of Boardman, Oregon; Mike and Toni Connell of Boardman, Oregon; Barry and Shelley Conner of Filer, Idaho; Dee and Traci Conner of Oasis, Nevada: 20 grandchildren and 37 great grandchildren.
Our mom loved to camp, rockhound and just spend quality time with her family. Our fondest memories as kids, grandchildren and even adults were our many trips to Baumgartner Campground. She and Roy made it a point to bring us all together as often as possible no matter how busy and complicated our lives became. She became the perfect grandma and thrived at it. As her family grew, so did her ability to love unconditionally. She had the sweetest laugh and a way about her that always made you feel special. Her kindness and selflessness will be forever missed. Her texts and telephone conversations always ended with “Sending all my love"….
Betty will be laid to rest beside Roy, the love of her life at 12:00, June 1st, 2024, at Sunset Memorial Park in Twin Falls, Idaho.
