I had Addie Elliott and Tua Va’a come in to the studio recently to record their SENCOTEN version of Rihanna’s song “lift Me Up”. I really enjoyed this session and hope to see more projects like this one come to life. HISWKE!

Here I am working with my first guitar student. She started learning at the beginning of summer and is now starting scales and soloing. I’m really enjoying spreading my love for music with people and seeing someone I’ve been teaching making such big strides is super rewarding. Let me know if you would like to give beginner guitar lessons a try.

Here’s a screenshot from tonight’s video session with David Bosma in the studio. It sounded so good with this beautiful guitar made by local luthier Mae Lutherie. I’m looking forward to releasing some footage from this session, David is such a talent.

We have had a great time recently in the studio space. Rehearsing with Nate Harris Music - Ladysmith BC for the Indigenous music festival, which was lots of fun. We had Andy Sloniowski on keys, myself on bass, Bosma on lead guitar, Mike Preston on drums and Madison Olsen was slaying on background vocals. We have done some vocal recording with Tim StrikingViking Hagberg for a couple of his songs. I recorded a podcast with The Connection Project with host Emily Olsen Presents and guest Lilian Grace for a discussion about mental health. We recorded an absolutely huge song with Bosma with spectacular sounding(and playing) acoustic guitars provided by Mae Lutherie . I have also been mixing several other projects as well as editing podcasts and teaching guitar lessons. I'm really looking forward to hearing some final masters of these new projects. More to come from the studio!
