Burn The Witch

Into Polish Metalcore? Check out Burn The Witch hailing out of Kraków/Polska. Some very heavy stuff with great guitar work from these guys. I highly suggest "We Are Alive" for their guitar work and "World Against Me" for their vocals.

The thing I love about unsigned bands, is they can produce music that is more extraordinary then the already famous Punk Goes Pop albums.

Reasons I love listening to things like Pandora. You find these amazing bands on there that are sometimes unheard of. The Crash Engine are a part of this category. Songs like "Weary Anthems" bring back that amazing alternative/rock feeling. This song is perfect.

A few things!
My friend from the station James has released a single for you guys to check out. Name of the song is "Self Sabotage."

This is for the people who are very fond of PTV and SWS. These guys have a show coming up with Oh, Sleeper.

Gunset Passion is looking into recording a new or a few new songs coming up here very soon. I'm out right excited for this. Love these guys to death.

Skyway Traffic has announced a date for his new album. I got a sneak at one of his songs which is AMAZING. November 20 is when you can expect the album "Cooler Than Kanye"

So. Over my time with The Pit FM, I did run into some very cool bands. I found out about alot of bands I've never even heard of from them. Eskimo Callboy and tons of Aussie bands. Was actually a huge part of my life and an eye opener!

So lets check out Sing Me Insomnia now. These guys have a f**k all awesome cover of Replay. Very good.
Not to mention their music is right up my ally in my favorite genre. I got a nice little album/EP from them in the mail. AWESOME as hell. These guys deserve a bit of love. Check them out.

Okay guys heres the deal. I am still going to do reviews but it will be slowed as I have picked up 2 more shows ontop of the 1 at The Pit Fm/The Pit FM - USA. Now my Sunday show is for the local bands. If you think you have what it takes to have your song aired over the radio email me at [email protected] with the song and a bit about yourselves. If your song is catchy but between Pop-Rock and Death Metal, I may play you. This gives you ins with the station that has over 200k listeners a month. This station is very supportive of Local talent. Show some love for the page and like them. I am part of the USA team (Operations Manager of USA) now.
If I'm not super fond of your music and decide to look past you, don't let that discourage you. My tastes differ from others on the team, Send your music in via www.thepitfm.com for free and wait for it to be gone through and added to the station if it passes submission!
In all reality I picked 3-5 bands every sunday to promote on thee hour. So join in and listen to the local bands I show love every sunday. We put these shows together for you guys :)

Along with those we will have some amazing more Mainstream well known music and a few inbetween! Don't forget to listen in. It is a good multi-genre night tonight.
Next Sunday we have a full multi-genre show to give to you guys. Contacting Nebulas, Describe Me The Ocean, and Pathkeeper will be debuting some of their singles to the station. Along with MainLine Debut song never heard to the ears here on the Station. :)

Caches the Ghosts

Check out the guys at Caches the Ghosts. This 5 piece band out of Baytown, Texas may not have the best recordings but, it feels like their vocalist can really shine when its all said and done. Check out "The Longer End of Medium" and you will see what I am talking about.

Show some support. I know we have a-lot of Texas oriented followers, hit this Post-hardcore/rock band up.

Caches the Ghosts is a 5 piece, post hardcore rock group from Baytown, Texas. Starting out as a 3 piece in 2010, the group was formed by Adrian Jordan, Andrew Masterson and Ryan Laubach. It was rounded out by the addition of drummer Kelly Kincl and vocalist Etron. CtG began playing shows in September of 2010 and have been ever since, as well as writing new material and recording In 2012, Etron left the band due to work related issues and time constraints. The band regrouped and found a new singer, Kevin Schoubroek, formerly of the highly influential Baytown hardcore band The Horrid Affair, and Proliferate.

I think I'm totally in love with these guys right now. The Seeking out of Sacramento, CA is a Post-hardcore/Ambient/Screamo band with such a great sound. As soon as I heard "Take It From Me" I was liking them much. Then I heard "Restless" and my musical heart fell in love.
I don't know what else to say, they are amazing, give them a chance!

I'm going through some of my Local and Upcoming Music folder. I realize that I had a band in this folder that I don't think I ever commented on. They are so unique and great sounding. If your a fan of bands with an amazing vocalist check out Gates. Their 4 song EP is very Indie-Rock but on the slow side. But his voice is fascinating. Listen to "What A Shame" and you will understand what I am talking about.
