Paul Curtiz & Denis Moulin Of Dark Satellite join Michael Boswell on this edition of Music Night At The Majestic. The duo's new album, "The Modern Illusion", is an homage to Steely Dan and features the cool sounds and vibes of West Coast Pop of the late 70's and early 80's with its Jazz, R&B and Soul influences. Interestingly, the duo is based on the west coast- of France!

In this episode, the duo discuss their musical backgrounds and influences, as well as some of their favorite records. Paul and Denis talk about the making of "The Modern Illusion" and their respective writing and production styles.

With extensive and varied musical resumes, Paul and Denis bring a wealth of experience to their music. Paul has had albums released in Belgium, France, Germany, The Netherlands, Japan and Asia. He wrote Belgium’s 2007 entry for Eurovision (“Lovepower”) and is still actively touring with Belgian 80’s funk outfit Allez Allez.

Denis became a studio musician at a very young age. He has toured with Klaus Klang, Black & Blue (Crepuscule) and has produced and worked on records for countless artists such as Lais, Mo & Grazz, Jeff Bodart, Miossec, Sioen and of course his father Marc Moulin (Blue Note, also of Telex and Placebo fame). He has toured with and produced many releases by singer Isabelle Antena, to whom he is married.

Today's Song Of The Day is from our guests on tonight's show, Paul Curtiz and Denis Moulin of Dark Satellite. The duo will discuss their new album, 'The Modern Illusion', which has the sound and vibes of the West Coast Pop of the late 70's and early 80's- only they did so from the west coast of France. In fact, Paul and Denis were our first guests to join us from Belgium and France, respectively. In return, Music Night marked the first interview the duo had done in America.

Tomorrow night at this time, a new episode of Music Night At The Majestic will debut. The episode marks several "firsts". Paul Curtiz and Denis Moulin of Dark Satellite were our first guests to join us from Belgium and France, respectively. In return, Music Night marked the first interview the duo had done in America.

In honor of these "firsts", we're having a contest in which you can win a CD of Dark Satellite's new album, "The Modern Illusion". An homage to Steely Dan, the disc features what was an unfinished song by Walter Becker himself. Becker's estate approved Paul and Denis' to finish "Red Guitar", which appears on 'The Modern Illusion'.

We will be posting one question about the episode each day for the first five days after the show posts. There will be on winner per day and you can only win once.
