Cary Pilots a Food Waste Recycling Drop-off at the Citizen’s Convenience Center starting Monday Feb 7.
The drop-off is a year-long pilot service that will allow the Town to evaluate the community's receptivity to food waste recycling and the impact it has on the solid waste stream.
Cary has also partnered with Toward Zero Waste to provide education resources, planned efforts, and events that will support citizens’ participation in the program.

Today we'll stay mainly dry through the morning but areas southeast of the Triangle could see isolated freezing rain/and snow build in from the southeast.
The snow/no-snow line will slowly move northwest through the afternoon and the greatest snow coverage looks to be from roughly 7 PM tonight through 2 AM Saturday morning. Areas around the Triangle can see up to 2" while communities to the east can see 3-5". WRAL will have complete coverage when the snow moves in so tune in for a more in-depth forecast for your community.
Stay safe out there folks. If you need provisions, please drive carefully and plan to be home before 7pm.

Western Cary's own festival, Fest in the West is back!
All are welcome on November 6th from 10am-4pm at USA Baseball at Thomas Brooks Park.
The fun has expanded to a brand new field where there will be a Main Stage with three bands, a Welcome Stage with youth and cultural performances, a Kids Corral with activities and a petting zoo, and a MidWay area with games and contests.
Come hungry for the Food Truck Rodeo and the great selection in the Beer Garden.
