Hard to believe this edit was done nearly 20 years ago by @erolalkan I remember @davep_makingtime telling us about this massive edit that Erol had done. Adding the amazing vocal from @mrlukejenner from the @therapture “House of Jealous Lovers” added an additional to energy to this already big track.
Erol merged two eras of dance music and the result is absolute dance floor madness. Thanks to Jon Rundell and the entire team at @strictlyrhythm and @bmguk for making this all happen.

'Slater Hills' opens up with rolling drums that immediately lock you in. Percussion grows in stature as dark bass arrives and bleeping sonar pulses take you on a deep space trip. It's a stripped-back but hugely atmospheric cut. Josh Wink steps up to remix and ups the energy levels. The drums are more clipped and punchy with raw claps and loopy bass, refracted vocals and trippy synth effects all adding to the drama.
Last of all is 'Trockenfutter' which is a mind-melting deep techno cut. Roaming synths pan about the mix over raw, heavy kicks and the whole thing is brilliantly physical and menacing. Add in doom laded chords and thunderous claps and you have a perfect weapon for underground clubs.
Shlomi Aber returns to O**m for the first time since 2013's 'Slack Tide' with a brilliant new three-track EP.
Shlomi has long been an integral part of O**m's history, as well as the history of dance music itself. He runs his own Be As One label and is a constant innovator who brings depth and synth craft to techno. From his breakout release, 'Freakside' in 2007 to his critically acclaimed album 'Chicago Days/Detroit Nights', the Barcelona-based, Tel Aviv-born artist has released on all the scene's best labels while laying down furious three-deck sets around the world. He sent these recent demos to O**m head Josh Wink "and it was an easy decision to welcome our old friend back for this incredible new release."
Opener 'Rewired' is a loopy techno cut with slowly tumbling chords that fall through space as sleek drums roll onwards. It's a track with a grand sense of space that brings widescreen drama to the dance floor. The superb 'Brickwall' is a suspensory masterpiece with unresolved synth loops keeping you hanging above the mysterious techno beats. It's brilliantly atmospheric as well as hypnotic. Last of all is 'Dream to be a Drum', the quickest and most mind-melting of the lot. With shades of Detroit techno's finest soulful sounds, it's a futuristic and tightly woven techno workout.

We're pleased to present Francesca Lombardo's debut on O**m Recordings today! Below is a snippet of Magic Moment - a truly special record.
The vocals are a poem Francesca's friend Victoria sent to her. She kept them for four years before finding the special inspiration that encouraged her to use them in these writing sessions. They lend the tune an intimate feel and draw you in deep to the elegant house drums and warming synths. It's an uplifting and classy tune with a standout Moog bassline that will lock in the floor.

Be Aware came about during a multi-day studio session between Josh and Truncate at Truncate's LA studio. It is the first of two EPs that will be released from that same creative collaboration.
The timeless 'Be Aware' is a ghoulish techno track with freaky vocals that keep you looking over your shoulder. A sparse lead synth rises and falls to edgy effect, slick drums roll deep and unique tweaked effects flesh out this most well-crafted of tracks. Truncate offers his own impactful interpretation, where the tempo quickens and builds into an infectious powerful groove that has immense impact.
This EP is a perfect example of an artist collaboration, where you can equally hear the signature sound of each producer in one distinctive track. This is the first coming together of these two underground icons and the results are unsurprisingly powerful.
