🐽 Teaser boars: ever heard of them? They are present on nearly every pig breeding farm, but never mate.

HUH, WHAT?
These boars (often of the Meishan breed, known to remain friendly even with extremely high testosterone levels) live isolated in small pens, away from other pigs. Once a day, they are allowed to walk through the barns on a leash, with a muzzle or in a riding cage. Not to mate, but only to detect when the terrified females are at peak fertility. They often have enormous testicles and are kept in a constant state of arousal due to the hormones they are injected with. After 20 minutes, full of longing and tension, they return to their lonely pen.

On smaller farms with around a hundred female pigs, there is usually one teaser boar. On larger farms with around a thousand, there may be up to four.

BUT, HOW?
As soon as the teaser boar is “released”, profit-driven farmers stand behind the females. They tap her back or even sit on her, rocking back and forth, because a female at peak fertility will resist less. Once she terrified stands still, the farmers finger her to check if her va**na is swelling. Around her fertile period, this happens daily. These poor pre-moms have to endure this sexual abuse—and eventual r**e—day in and day out. Once the farmers determine she is ready, they inseminate her with s***m from yet another victim: the ‘stud boars.’

Teaser boars are often the “ghosts” of the industry. Few even know they exist. Sometimes they’re given names within the farm because they tend to remain for years. This practice with teaser animals doesn’t just happen with pigs. ‘Teaser bulls’ are used with cows as well, and it’s also common in the sheep, goat, and camel industries. Always aroused. Always alone.

💔 Fingers disappear inside pigs, monsters sit on them, and eventually they’re inseminated (r***d).
💔 ‘Stud boars’ are injected with hormones and forced to ej*****te (r**e).
💔 ‘Teaser boars’ are injected with hormones and kept aroused for life.

And yet humans still dare to say being non-vegan has nothing to do with sexual abuse. But human r**e is not the only kind of r**e.

🪺 Did you know that laying an egg feels similar to giving birth? Every. Freaking. Day.

We already know that consuming eggs is unacceptable due to the horrific lives chickens endure in factory farming and the newborn male chicks that are immediately shredded.

But then we have… 🌿
“BUT I HAVE (RESCUE) CHICKENS IN MY YARD, THEY HAVE A GOOD LIFE AND GIVE ME BEAUTIFUL EGGS!”

They easily forget one huge reason: their pain (& it’s never yours anyway). Backyard chickens are just as trapped in bodies shaped by genetic exploitation. Their “high-performance” is a product of human greed. Better conditions don’t erase their suffering.

Modern laying hens have been selectively bred so intensively that they now lay 300 to 350 eggs per year (compared to just 8 to 12 eggs per spring/year in nature, like other birds) — without any “off” switch.

Selective breeding has drastically sped up their ovulation cycle, permanently set to “reproductive mode.” This is comparable to being in a constant, artificial overdrive of pregnancy and labor. So every egg laid, especially by young hens, is comparable to a birth. The contractions of the oviduct, the formation of the shell, the pushing. Imagine: every single day.

And it doesn’t stop at the usual pain.

💔 The daily shell production depletes calcium, leading to weak bones and fractures.
💔 1 in 3 hens suffers from oviduct infections, prolapse, or egg binding.
💔 Many die from these conditions — slowly and painfully — especially in the egg industry.

Do you have (rescued) backyard chickens, and do you want to help them?

💛 Don’t take their eggs for yourself. Not even with excuses like “they’ll get stressed or broody.”
💛 Cook the eggs and feed them back to the hen for calcium.
💛 But best of all: a hormone implant (like Suprelorin). It safely stops the laying cycle, giving their bodies a chance to heal.

And yes, with the last you’re doing something ‘unnatural’ to her body — but you’re reversing the suffering others have imposed on her through an endless ovulation. Now she can finally live a life meant for her, without any pain.

🌼 Eggs, lambs, chicks, bunnies. All under a brightly colored sun, cheerful pastel colors and the smell of flowers. Because that is what the image of Easter is, in addition to the story in several religions. New life, that’s what it’s all about. Then why are more (baby) animals dying and suffering today, BECAUSE of this worldwide celebration?

CHICKS
🐥 Twice as many eggs are eaten > the demand for them is greater worldwide > more chickens have to lay eggs > so more chickens have to excist during this period > and therefore more than half as many male chicks go through the shredder on their first day of life.

There are also more chicks being sold as ‘toys’, which are also bred in large numbers. Many don’t survive their first year.

CALVES
🐮 On the Easter table, next to eggs, there is also a lot of dairy such as fresh butter and milky chocolate eggs. Maybe today, as they celebrate new life, they would reflect on all the newborn calves that are torn away from their mothers and killed as a result? No, not even today.

LAMBS
🐑 Lambs, frolicking in the meadow. How cute, every petting zoo has them now. Because who doesn’t love it? Sadly, they are not born to grow old, but only to earn money around this month, and that is why they are bred in large numbers. In the summer, when people have new interests and forgot even the photos in their phone from them, these lambs stand in line at the slaughterhouse. There are even humans who want to eat lamb racks on Easter. These lambs are often only a few weeks old and are bred especially for this day.

BUNNIES
🐰 Easter involves bunnies, and how fun is it to give your 3-year-old child a newborn fluffy ball? Every breeder has them! They only forget that it is fun for 2 days, and many rabbits are then dumped OR they choose to keep them until Christmas, after which they have to serve another horrible purpose.

How Easter is currently celebrated in the world is not about celebrating new life, but about killing new life. Show what it should stand for, see the hypocrisy and go vegan. 🌱

HER STORY 🐮📖
“The seventh time. Even though my body feels heavier, my bones can hardly carry me anymore and I have udder inflammation again, I am being inseminated for the seventh time. I know the big human arm, the freezing inside myself, the nasty feeling and the helplessness. And still, they want me to have another. Though it’s not about my babies. I know that by now. I haven’t been able to bond with my calves for a long time. The trauma is too big, my soul wrecked. And now also my body is slowly giving up. I don’t know why, but the end feels near. I turn towards my growing belly and, for the first time in a long time, I feel like I want to keep this little one close. I feel that we’ll go into the darkness together. This little life too has been crushed by humanity. But my feeling for you… they can never take that away.”

BUT THIS DOESN’T HAPPEN THAT MUCH, RIGHT?
Even though slaughterhouses often don’t register it, a German study showed that about 10-15% of all slaughtered cows in Europe were pregnant, a small part even in the last trimester. In Europe, it is legal to slaughter pregnant cows up to the end of the second trimester, but this is often ignored. In the US, there is no regulation at all about slaughtering pregnant animals. So the numbers there are likely even higher. Fetus flesh is often used as dog and cat food, but in rare cases it is sold as veal.

BUT IT’S NOT ON PURPOSE, RIGHT?
Insemination happens so fast and on a large scale, that the outcomes aren’t always thought through. Months later it becomes clear that the pregnancy is economically “inconvenient.” Like, when the cow can’t handle giving birth anymore, so they can’t profit from her flesh if she dies - or when it turns out she won’t give enough milk. But it’s NEVER an accident: there’s always insemination data & no cow gets pregnant “accidentally.”

Know that YOU are the one responsible if you consume flesh and ‘dairy’ products. Go vegan. 🌱

Based on what you’ve learned in our strange society, the answer if it’s a joke or reality on each slide might seem obvious. But was it emotionally a challenge for you for all of them? Awesome! That means at least one line is being drawn and you are not a hypocrite. Because they would all equally suffer from the statements above.

Ok, this one is indeed shocking and may evoke strong reactions. But sharing this disturbing image is only a fraction as shocking as reality, where millions of cows, even near your own home, endure exactly this abuse over and over again. Abuse that humans eagerly pay for. That humans eagerly defend. That even makes humans angry when you openly oppose it. Because, after all, cheese is delicious, milk is healthy, and it’s considered loving, natural, humane…

Until suddenly, it involves a human. 🫄

❌ Human/cow babies are not byproducts.
❌ And their flesh not *beal/veal or meat.
❌ Human/cow mothers are not machines.
❌ And their milk not dairy.

If your ability to empathize only begins with human animals, then that means, at your core, you don’t actually find this image that bad. What’s happening here is something you stand behind. Or.. maybe not? Hands off what isn’t yours. Go vegan. 🌱

🔖 Labels on non-human animals, placed by our society, have nothing to do with the truth.

🏇 A horse? Someone should be sitting on it.
🥓 A pig? Bacon tho!

😻 A cat? So sweet, my favorite pet!
🧀 A cow? Can’t live without cheese!
🤢 A rat? Gross.

All stereotypical statements that keep prejudices alive from generation to generation, and sometimes even change completely throughout history, while having nothing to do with reality. Every animal has their own full-fledged life, their own character, and their own role on this earth. They were not born to be placed in our imaginary, or literal boxes. The moment human animals realize this, we will start treating other animals (and each other) very differently. Speciesism must be addressed if we want to solve all other ethical problems in the world.

WHY DO WE DO THIS? 🧍‍♀️🧍🏾🧍🏻‍♂️🧍🏻‍♀️🧍🧍🏿‍♂️
Humans are social creatures. Belonging to a group and adopting its behaviors and opinions has been crucial to our survival. That’s why we are extremely susceptible to what our environment tells us, often from a very young age. It’s simply part of us, and that is completely understandable. However, we must recognize that what is considered normal in our time and what our group claims to be normal is not necessarily the truth. Especially when it comes to ranking non-human animals.

Learn to look at every animal neutrally, and feel inside what you truly feel about them, instead of just listening to what the rest says. Anti-racism among humans has thankfully become a major topic (although it’s still not where it should be), now we just need to take it one step further and extend this to other species. Feed your brain, use your heart and go vegan. 🌱

The legs that carried you everywhere. Who made you who you were. You still felt them, but then again you didn’t. The excruciating pain dominated. Would your legs now be frozen, or even fried, while you are still alive? Or are they perhaps even already in the belly of such a monster? It became blurrier, until you slipped into nothingness.”

BUT WHO EATS THEM?
Perhaps it is not a dish you see every day, but frog legs are eaten in many restaurants all over the world. Europe (particularly France, Belgium and the Netherlands) are the largest importers, responsible for the terrible deaths of around 200 million frogs per year, followed by the United States, which imports around 20%. Frog legs are the most commonly eaten in Asia. About 70% that are sent frozen into the world come from Indonesia (but also Vietnam, Turkey and Albania). Although there are many terrible frog farms in Indonesia and China, most of the frogs are caught in the wild. They are sometimes kept in large barrels for at least 3 months, until they are skinned and chopped in half while alive. These sensitive animals live without a lower body for another 3 hours and suffer incredibly much.

🚘 How many humans do you know who would stop their car for a living creature? And how many do you know who could eat an entire bucket of them? Funny how, most of the time, it’s the same individuals. Isn’t it wild how our/their brains work? And even crazier that when others point it out, they come up with every bizarre excuse they can think of, and make YOU’re the one who’s is crazy? 😵‍💫

To begin with, there are many reasons to avoid consuming honey due to the horrific exploitation and abuse (by commercial beekeepers, but also by many so-called “organic” hobby beekeepers) of drones, worker bees, and queens.

THIS HAPPENS BECAUSE HUMAN HANDS:
🫳 Clipping the queen’s wings so that when a new queen is born, she cannot fly away with half the colony to form two new colonies: but dies;
🫳 Manually inseminating queens;
🫳 Crushing and killing drones to extract their s***m;
🫳 Smoking the hive and so weakening (or even killing) the bees to make honey easier to harvest;
🫳 Replacing honey with sugar water, which weakens the colony.

Taking specific nutrient food from another living being (the only source they have) is weird, unnecessary and extremely selfish.

BUT BEEKEEPERS SAVE BEES AND NATURE! 🍃
The “green” image of organic honey is based on the misconception that beekeeping is good for nature, while in reality, it is always exploitation and even bad for the environment. Honeybees are bred and kept in large numbers, displacing wild bee species. Yet even those who claim they want to save bees, continue consuming honey. They embrace the romanticized image of the beekeepers who cares for ‘their’ bees, while in reality, they steal their only food source, so ignorant humans can buy this “byproduct” from them.

This hypocrisy reveals how deeply humans cling to their habits and how desperately they want to see themselves as environmentally conscious, even when their choices have the opposite effect.

Add up the reasons, think logically, and stop consuming the food that millions of animals work their entire lives to produce - for their families, not for you. So hands off, honey. Go vegan. 🌱

🧠 Our brains can be trained in a way that if you see something over and over throughout your life, it stores it as ‘normal’. Horses? Oh, someone should be sitting on them. Nothing crazy about that. Yep, including bridle, bit, spurs, saddle, whip. The fact that we only accept this in our heads with horses (and sometimes also donkeys, camels and elephants) is something to think about.

🚳
No animal likes to be used as a means of transportation. Why do you think attributes that seem to come straight out of a torture chamber are used? What horse owners call training is nothing more than physical and/or mental abuse to wipe out natural behavior so they can serve them.

EVERY RIDDEN HORSE STOCKHOLM-SYNDROME?
We often forget that every young horse has to be ‘saddled’ for weeks, months or sometimes more than a year, during which time he or she breaks and then develops Stockholm syndrome. From that moment on, their survival mechanism begins to work, and they start to please the abuser. The way to get ‘love’ or less nasty tactics is to act like a device with no will of its own whenever someone climbs on them. They have given up; better this than all the unpleasant things they experienced during the breaking and never forgot.

BUT THEY NEED US!
Although horses in the wild graze at a walking pace for more than 50 km a day and their close-knit group is vital for survival, humans believe they can easily break their natural instincts for their own use. Many even claim that horses ‘need’ to be ridden for exercise. ❌ Check comments to see a horrifying video where a monster came up with a sadistic solution for that.

BUT THEY LOVE IT!
He does it without resistance, right? Then he likes it. And does he buck and doesn’t want to? Then he is a ‘difficult’ or just a silly ‘stubborn’ horse. A horse to sell, like a vehicle. While these are exactly the horses who have not given up yet. 💔

Look into the eyes of these precious giants, realize what is being done to them and go vegan. 🌱
