Delighted to announce that MEETING AT THE CROSSROADS will be shown on PBS through WSRE on the Gulf Coast on WEDNESDAY the 9th of AUGUST! The wonderful Michael Stribling will appear on the night live in studio to chat about the show and you never know, he might even play a tune or two! 8.30pm is kick off time and you'll get to watch a wonderful group of performers - Cormac de Barra, Liz Madden, Runa, Michael Stribling, Shannon Lambert-Ryan, Fionán de Barra, Maggie Estes White, David Curley and Cheryl Prashker. Local companies were involved in this excellent night of Irish music which was filmed on location at the Village Baptist Church in Destin on the Emerald Coast.

德國創作女歌手莎比．歐本名Sabine Ohl，從小學習吉他，後來接受正統的古典聲樂訓練，卻鍾愛傳統的愛爾蘭音樂，因而塞爾特音樂與流行經典結合，發展出她獨特的個人風格。《她走在美中》是她個人的第二張專輯，由Christian Reddeker與Chris Tofferson擔任製作人，裡面最具代表的歌曲就是曾被選入《絕對的聲音TAS2016》首曲的「她走在美中」。這首歌曲的歌詞是英國浪漫派大詩人拜倫的經典詩作，背後還有一個浪漫的故事。1814年，26歲的英國詩人拜倫（George Gordon Byron，1788-1824），在一場舞會中，遇見了霍頓夫人（Lady Wilmot Horton），她優雅純真的氣質，令人屏息。拜倫因而寫下這首《她走在美中》，這不是寫給愛人的情詩，而是一首遇見美，觸動心靈的詩。專輯中「我們分手的那時」（When We Two Parted）也是拜倫的大作，字裡行間帶著淡淡的哀傷，透過莎比．歐如天籟一般的歌聲，讓人更能體會文字觸動人心之處。而「淚水，無端地流」（Tears Idle Tears）則是拜倫的好友、英國桂冠詩人丁尼生的詩。第3首「玻璃海」（Sea Of Glass）與「搖籃曲」（Lullaby）則是出自愛爾蘭知名的女性唱作歌手麗茲．瑪登（Liz Madden）的手筆，「蓋布萊爾之歌」（Gabriella's Sång）則是瑞典女歌手Py Backman的歌曲，莎比．歐還特別以瑞典文演唱，經過她的重新詮釋，更顯出無與倫比的心靈療癒力量。傳統的愛爾蘭歌謠如「奇異恩典」與「她穿越市集」更是不容錯過的絕妙演繹。莎比．歐說「對我來說，歌唱就是情感宣洩的出口」，透過優美的文字與純淨的歌聲，融合文學與音樂，讓莎比．歐帶你一同感受這永垂不朽的美。

We are delighted to announce the new St. Patrick's Day documentary WEARING THE GREEN will be released in February 2017 and features interviews with some fantastic musicians/dancers. Produced by Healing Sun Productions in association with San Juan Music, WEARING THE GREEN features Joanie Madden, Gregg Senko, Cormac de Barra, Shannon Lambert-Ryan, Michael Stribling, Fionán de Barra, David Curley, Brendan Madden and Cheryl Prashker. Along with a lovely segment with Jenne Lennon in Chicago, this documentary was filmed in both Ireland and the USA by John Fay, Sam Tang and RJ Murdock, directed and narrated by Liz Madden, produced by John Nolan and Liz Madden and edited by Roland Labana! An accompanying soundtrack will also be released and includes new music by Niamh Fahy of StringPress, Sarah Gannon, De Barra and many more! More details to follow!
