Statistics can be scary sometimes but according to Forbes here are some tips to improve your financial status:
1. Start an emergency fund
“Invest in your financial foundation now. Your emergency fund ideally would have at least six to nine months (or more) of cash to cover such unforeseen expenses. Make sure the cash for your emergency fund is placed in a separate bank account that isn’t co-mingled with your living expenses.”
2. Start a side hustle
“There are myriad opportunities online to start your next side hustle. Your side hustle might even lead to a higher-paying, full-time gig.”
3. Consolidate your credit card debt
“The smartest way to save money with credit card debt is to consolidate your credit card debt into a personal loan, which is also referred to as a credit card consolidation loan. You can use the interest savings to start an emergency fund, pay off student loans or save for retirement.”

In season 2, episode 2 of The BadAss Women's Network Podcast guest Nanette Vega gives the best to women struggling with confidence in the workforce: "First, I think it is important to have different groups of women around you in which you have these open and honest conversations with. In these environments, the idea of imposter syndrome kind of manifests itself, and it's the feeling that I don't belong because I am the only one, I don't see myself represented, I'm going to be discovered as a fraud...right?

It is the systemic environment that makes you feel this way. I've always had extremely high expectations for myself, and even though when I've met 99.99% percent of them I focus in on that 0.1 thing I didn't do. Often times as women we talk ourselves out of applying for these jobs, when men will apply when they just fill one of the requirements. How do I deal with it -- I acknowledge my thoughts, put them into perspective, and I share my feelings with trusted mentors. I have imposter syndrome moments but I am not an imposter life. So when these moments come up I just counteract and reframe."

Here's her response: "I would tell my younger self that you are stronger than you know, and yes you will encounter challenges, experience unimaginable loss, and it may seem like the end of the world but you will make it through. The strength and resilience that you are gaining now will be really important in the future and help you become ALL that you are destined to be. I'm just beginning, and I'm in my 40's! Make those difficult decisions, put yourself first, and face fear head on."

In episode 6 of The BadAss Women’s Network Dr. Malika Grayson was asked, “What advice would you give to women in the workplace?”

Here’s what she said: “Ask that question in that meeting. Because I feel we go into these situations and we are always the quiet ones and we never speak up and it is important for us to speak up and ask that question. That question — when you know you want to say something but you never say it because well again the imposter syndrome. Say it! Say the comment! Ask the question! Question what is being said!

What is the worst that can happen? If anything people will respect you more because they know that you have an opinion. They didn’t invite you into a room to be a statue.”
