I was motivated by an online writing contest that I have no hope of winning, but regardless the deadline of it kicked me into gear to actually try to write something. I currently have two chapters of a totally dumb story I'm titling, "I Work in the Anime Industry and Everybody Hates Me!" I honestly am not sure what I'm ever going to do with this. But I had some art commissioned from Go.it Studio, who separated each part into separated layers/pieces in a PDF file, and somehow amazingly I was able to rig it up properly through Live2D Cubism, and then import that final model into FaceRig. This was just a test to see if it worked, and it looks like it did! I can't say that I expect to have any sort of surging Vtuber career, but this was just so fun regardless!

Well, while I do absolutely see a handful of glaring issues with The Rise of Skywalker, the sum of all of those things was not enough to make me not enjoy the movie as a whole. I was pretty entertained for the most part, and it still felt like a Star Wars film to me. I guess I don't understand why everyone is so blisteringly angry.

A friend offered to share with new a shoulder Porg today for . Not gonna lie, mildly concerned 'cause all my friends that I really trust and have already seen the film all hate it. I've done my best to remain spoiler-free up until this point, so if I hate it I guess it'll be because I decided that on my own, huh? My new little friend Athena (whom we've also lovingly nicknamed Doomtrain after the summon in Final Fantasy 8) is starting to slowly get closer to me and asks to be pet all the time. She now jumps up on my PC to get closer to my level, and is slowly experimenting with getting her front paws on my lap. She hasn't yet fully climbed into my lap, but I figure it's only a matter of time now. I'll try to get a picture of her mom Cali (Halcali) too soon!

I figure I'd leave a little bit of an update about having just seen the first episode of The Witcher the other day. As someone who only played the games and hasn't read the books, I still really enjoyed it! It's pretty dialogue-heavy, but the music is right, the visuals are right, and when action and fighting gets underway, it's fantastically well choreographed and very brutal. I also underestimated Henry Cavill. Dude did a great job, sounds very convincingly like the Geralt from the games (although the games obviously aren't the books!). I can't wait for the whole series to hit Netflix. I think if any of you were around when I was livestreaming my Witcher playthroughs, you'll like the show.

It isn't as though this was a huge achievement or anything, but I decided to start trying to lantern as many songs as possible in DDR A20. Would be nice to one day get some perfect full combos, but right now, fully green lanterning all of the songs in the classic DDR category feels like a pretty great start.
