Sometimes our plans don't pan out exactly as we envision.

That's why we have to also trust that God's got a plan uniquely & specifically for us. It might sound wild, but what we imagine for ourselves can be very different from what's meant for us in God's eyes. We can aim for goals, sure, but staying open to God's will brings a whole new perspective.

Trust in His bigger picture, even when it's not what you expect !!

Being a woman of God means fearing the Lord above all else.

Since the beginning of time, the world has acclaimed the beauty of women and lead us to believe that our value is based on traits like external beauty and our ability to charm others with our minds and personalities.

However, this verse reaffirms that a woman’s charm cannot be trusted and her external beauty is temporary.

Fearing the Lord means possessing an awe and reverence for the holiness, majesty, and righteousness of the Lord that leads us to seek Him first and worship Him for the magnificent God that He is. We are told to seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness (Matthew 6:33), which is the lifestyle of a woman who fears God.

Being a woman of God is based on seeking God first, walking in intimacy with Him, obeying His commands, submitting to His discipline, and honoring and worshiping Him with the way she lives her life. All the other details of our lives will fall into place when we keep our eyes fixed on Christ, longing to reflect Him in all we say and do.

Do you ever forget to spend time with God? Or maybe you are too busy?

Relationships, especially ours with God, play an important role in our lives.

No matter how busy we are, dedicating time to know God is essential. We cannot hope to spend eternity with Him if we don't take the time to know Him now!!

Make it a habit to start each day with prayer, seeking His guidance and thanking Him for another day to glorify Him. Throughout the day, continue to communicate with Him, expressing gratitude for His blessings. At night, set aside time to read a chapter of the Bible, reflect, and offer prayers. With 24 hours in a day, surely we can spare one hour to deepen our relationship with Him. It's necessary for our salvation.

Here are 3 things that may help you keep God the center of your life!

Prioritize God: Centering our lives around God's will ensures our relationships align with His purpose for us. Mark 12:30-31 highlights the importance of loving God wholeheartedly and treating others with that same love!!

Build Christ-Centered Relationships: Surrounding ourselves with people who encourage spiritual growth creates deeper connections. These relationships will also encourage and remind you how important it is to prioritize Him. Proverbs 17:17 emphasizes the value of friends who support us in all seasons.

Follow God in Relationships: Discovering the power of community strengthens us in times of need and amplifies our joy in triumphs!! Ecclesiastes 4:9-12 illustrates the strength found in united efforts.

Hope these helped :)

What is Lent for Christians?

Lent is a 40-day period leading to Easter (excluding Sundays), beginning with Ash Wednesday, emphasizing human mortality and the call to repentance. It culminates in Easter Sunday, celebrating Christ's resurrection, a pivotal event for Christians.

What are we supposed to do during Lent to await the resurrection of Christ?

During Lent, practices like fasting, prayer, and almsgiving serve as catalysts for spiritual growth.

Key Lenten practices include prayer, fasting, abstinence, and almsgiving:

Prayer and Reflection:
-Engage in regular personal prayer, read your bible or devotional, and attend Church regularly!

Fasting:
-Practice self-control by fasting from things that can cause distractions that hinder spiritual growth.

Almsgiving and Acts of Love:
-You can support charitable causes, volunteer to help others, or perform daily acts of kindness!

These Lenten practices provide opportunities for us to refocus on our faith, quieting the noise of daily life and creating a deeper relationship with God. :)

How many times do we let our anger out on God when things don't go the way we expected/wanted?

The belief that God holds ultimate control can lead to questioning why He didn't intervene or alter circumstances for our benefit or at least what we think would benefit us.

What we do know is that in multiple places in the Bible, God reassures us that all things will work together for good if we walk uprightly with Him. Even in Romans 8:28 AGAIN, It says, " All things work together for good for those who love God and are called to His purpose."

We might not understand what He's got planned for us, but what we do know is that He's got it & that He would NEVER withhold anything that would be good for us.

Here are a few reminders for trusting in Him at all times:

Don't give in to anger. Instead, trust that God is at work even in the midst of frustration (James 1:19).

Don't quit. Hold onto God's promises, knowing that if it aligns with His will, it's already yours (1 John 5:14-15).

Don't lose confidence in God's goodness. Even when life seems uncertain, remember that God is always good (Psalm 27:13).

Don't panic. Trust that God has a plan and a way out, even in the face of uncertainty (Jeremiah 29:11).

So, trust God anyway. Even when things seem bleak, choose to believe His promises and trust that He's working for our good. Give God time. Know that He can turn even the toughest situations into something beautiful in His perfect timing. This is your reminder to lean into God's promises and watch as He turns every trial into a testimony of His faithfulness!

Happy Sunday! 💛

I wanted to share this quote specifically because this is something I had struggled with for a long time.

Now more than ever, many of us find ourselves caring a lot about others' opinions. With this, it's so easy to get caught up in proving ourselves through our appearance, actions, social media presence, and more.

We also tend to compare ourselves excessively, or at least I have, wishing to emulate others instead of embracing who we are.

Each of us are on our own journey in life, and we need to know that the loudest voices aren't the most important ones.

Instead of seeking validation from others, let's instead turn our focus to someone greater—our Creator.

His words are the ones that hold true, shaping our worth and identity in ways beyond worldly understanding.

Hi Hi!

It's been a minute since I've shared here, so I wanted to catch you up on some moments that have really touched my heart recently.

Last weekend was a breath of fresh air. Sunday morning, after church,
I set aside some time to dive deep into my Bible and it felt soooo good to reconnect with Jesus like that!!!

I spent some quality time with my sister too, grabbing coffee and just catching each other up on life stuff. Yes, even though we live together it was just nice to go out and spend some time together!

Work has been one of the biggest blessings lately. The people I share my days with are more than just my coworkers—they're so special to me and I enjoy our genuine conversations and I just love them all! So thank you, Jesus!!!

Speaking of work fam, I had to say bye to my sweet friend, Cyrah, as she heads off on a mission trip to South Africa. Her heart for Jesus shines through her smile, and seeing her follow her calling fills me with pride, even though I'll miss her like crazy.
..And then there are those moments when nature stops you in your tracks. Living in Spokane, beach sunsets aren't exactly a daily occurrence. But when I was in Florida a little bit ago, I got read my bible on the beach and just realize once again the artistry of our Creator.

Oh, and finally, a little something I screenshotted while scrolling on social media! Basically, I get into these mindsets of thinking I have to handle everything on my own sometimes. Not even like I think I can, I just forget that I can lean on God for certain things and ask for His guidance. But mostly, I find that it's when things go south that I remember to turn to God. Realizing that pattern humbled me big time. Love, real love, demands sacrifice, even if it means taking more time to chat with Him daily. Because it's in those specific moments, when we lean into Him and ask for His guidance, that we truly understand the depth of His love.

Anyways, I know this is a bit much to share but just wanted to give a little update on where I've been :) 🧡

Life can throw us some serious curveballs sometimes.

What we have to realize, though, is we don't have to handle it all solo.

When we keep our eyes on Jesus, it's like putting on special glasses that help you see things clearer and then maybe what seems like a mess is actually part of a bigger, better plan He's got planned for you.

So, instead of trying to tame the storms yourself, focus on the only One who can calm them and maybe turn them into something beautiful.

Just.a lil Sunday reminder!

Confidence in Christ transcends the need for worldly validation.

As His own, molded in His image and likeness, our aim isn't to appease the world, but to live in the pleasure of pleasing Him.

Being a child of God means finding assurance in His design, not seeking the approval of others. Our confidence rests in His love, not in the opinions of the world.🖤

Happy Monday!

After a brief break from posting, I'm back with a lil reminder that life gets busy, and we're all perfectly imperfect. Mostly, the reason for my break from posting is that I have some exciting things that are in the works, and while my goal is to share more, I'm only human—juggling priorities and occasional forgetfulness.

So, here's a simple yet powerful verse to kickstart the week: Embrace humility and gentleness, practice patience, and bear with love.

Imperfections aside, let's make this Monday a great start to our week! 💖

In life's little or big battles, remember this: you are not without hope.

Every day, we engage in a spiritual warfare, a cosmic struggle between good and evil. The truth is you are called, chosen, and equipped.

You have to be reminded that you're not just a survivor, you're a conqueror and you've got all the gear you need because you have Him.

~Joy

In a world that often offers temporary happiness, I've found the purest, most enduring joy comes from God.

It was funny because the other day I was driving and was just thinking about how much fun I had with a friend and it just made me kinda just smile to myself haha! I was like, wow, God is so good! He just brings so many amazing opportunities right at the moments when we need them.

When I think about it, the joy that I have for so many things ultimately starts with God who has allowed me to experience that joy with the blessings he's brought me. He is the ultimate source of my joy because everything traces back to Him and how he has allowed that joy to come from within me.

That type of joy is something that can't be found anywhere else. It's a joy that's not dependent on what I have or what's happening around me; it's rooted in the unchanging love and grace of Jesus...(and in those things lol)

But it all starts with Him.

So, here's to genuine, God-given joy. 😀

And it's this pretty girls bday who brings me SO MUCH FREAKING JOY, so cheers to wishing her the happiest of birthdays! 💜

Ayyyooo it's the first day of the Week! Or is it? Honestly, I'm not sure if it's technically Sunday or Monday but whatever!

Anyways, a lot of times, I find myself dwelling on my sins, mistakes, and regrets. It's annoyingly pretty easy to get caught up in negative thoughts about my imperfections and things I'm not so proud of. But what I need to remember is that God is love. When we hurt Him, yes, it hurts our souls and Him, but He's an amazing Father, and His love is overwhelming.

My sins may seem great, but His love for me is even greater. He made salvation possible for all of us through the cross, sacrificing His life so we could have eternal life in Him. He opens the gates to heaven through baptism and receiving Him, so we don't have to dwell in our sins.

I'm not saying sin isn't bad; it is. What I'm saying is that Jesus is merciful and forgives all sins. He knew every mistake I'd make and still said, "You're worth it."

So, never forget Jesus' immense love and mercy. You're worth it to Him.

Have a fantastic Monday 💕

Happy Sunday!!

Super random thoughts today:

A lot of times, I catch myself fearing failure, but then it hits me that it's not God planting that fear in me; it's actually the enemy. Fear is his playground, his weapon. Just like I mentioned yesterday, he's out to wreck our peace and freedom, making us fear so many little things.

However, the funny thing is we literally hold power over the enemy. With God by our side, the devil trembles. It's funny how I let his fear tactics get to me when I've clearly got God, and that's what terrifies him.

Next time you feel fear creeping in, remember, it's the enemy who's scared of you. So, stand tall, choose courage over fear, and remember that fear isn't failure. Failure is just a step towards success. Fear, on the other hand, is the enemy of everything good.

So, as we start this new week, keep your faith strong, don't allow fear to overcome you, and walk in your authority over the enemy.
