Ok here goes - one of the toughest posts I’ve ever had to do 🥲 …. yesterday I said my final goodbye to our beloved music man my beautiful Dougie Doo ❤️😎🤠. I sat with him & played all his fave songs - lots of Eric Church !! He so loved the Chief …. We had a shot of bourbon and a good long chat - a lil one sided mind you 🙃 but I’m Pretty sure he knew I was there 🙏💫🌟 he was tucked in with a cozy wee blanket - his brother John came by with his daughter Holli -Lynne and her gorgeous lil’ toddler - so we all had a good cry & lots of hugs . Doug Elash was a gorgeous sweet soul an Incredibly generous & talented musician’ - The touring bass player for Canadian Country powerhouse Tim Hicks as well as a multitude of other bands - he was also a longtime & very achieved executive at Long& McQuade. My heart goes out to his many work colleagues - his band & road brothers - his family & mostly to his bestest best friends Steve & Michelle - Steve (Sonnyboy) was his dearest friend for over 40 years !!! and lastly my shattered tattered heart 💔We Luv you so so much Doo- I will think of you every single day until it’s also my time to visit the angels 😇 I Hope you find Vince 🐶 up there - that bulldog will take good care of you for me 💫✨⭐️ ** Apologies in advance if any of these photos disturb but death is real ! & I am a photographer - it’s just what I do
