As you can anticipate from the international situation, Jazzdrews unfortunately will not be gracing your ears again until the beginning of the academic year in September :(( We want to thank all our wonderful loyal listeners to the show during the 13 episodes that we've lovingly created and broadcasted to you over the past year, and want to reassure you that this beloved musical slot shall return as a radiowave tour de force in the future!!

This week we are featuring the lesser known sub-genre of Gypsy jazz, a particular style pioneered in the 1930s by Romani musicians.
Alongside a proud featuring of the canonical artists of this delectable corner of music, we shall do our best to jovially impart a potted history of the style for your edification, education and, of course, enrichment :)

Merry Merry MERRY week 1 to all you sleeping Jazzdrews fans - your favourite entertainment slot of the academic calendar is now confirmedly back with all guns blazing on standrewsradio.com!!!!
We are extremely happy to say that you can listen to our bumpin' beautiful chronicle at the same time, same place as before. We shall continue to culturally dominate Saturday evenings at 10pm, pouring into the living rooms of East Fife and beyond :)))

Hi guys...our second show is fast approaching (tune in this Saturday at 10pm GMT, etc). Using our executive authority as show hosts, Ben and I are instituting a new segment for our show. This segment is called SONG OF THE WEEK.

During every show, we will play a song (any song, does not have to be jazz!), then put it in a jazz context. This song will be chosen by YOU, the St Jazzdrews community.

So, reply with your requests for this week’s SONG OF THE WEEK. Tomorrow we spend hours deliberating on which song to choose, and will play the best one.
