e very best in upfront deep and tech-house with a few surprises! Tim Red started DJing in the early 90s inspired by the acid house movement that had been sweeping the nation and developed a fresh techno-edged house sound (later to be called tech-house). Loving the parties of that time but wanting to shape the scene and be a real part of house history, in 1997 he started running exclusive warehouse and studio parties around the Shoreditch area of London called armadillo which attracted a clientele of clued-up party people. The parties were embraced by the London crowd and it wasn’t long before Tim (and his DJ partner Luke vB) were offered a night at London’s best nightclub, The End. Tim and Luke ran the night Blonde in the AKA part of the club for 8 years until the club sadly closed its doors (and an era of house history) in 2008. Blonde was known as one of the friendliest and most relaxed evening affairs in London and consequently, became an institution. As resident, Tim was joined by guests such as Mr C, Jef K, Ralph Lawson, Charles Webster, D'Julz, Tom Middleton, John Dahlback, Craig Richards, Pete Heller, Terry Francis, Nathan Coles, Kenny Hawkes, Rob Mello, Geoffroy, Jesse Rose, Giles Smith, James Priestley, Geddes, Dan Berkson and Alison Marks . The chilled yet frankly mad vibe of Blonde won the night plaudits from Time Out, Metro, The Guardian and Mixmag and as a result Blonde became the wind-down for many within the dance industry with a loyal following of discerning devotees. Due to the popularity of Blonde and Tim’s DJing style he has played most of the best venues and parties in London and beyond, including the Notting Hill Carnival, The End, Fabric, secretsundaze, mulletover, Ministry of Sound (N**e Residency with Smokin’ Jo and Terry Hart), Jaded, Wiggle, Superfreq, Space Ibiza (Terrace and Red Box with N**e), The Cross, The Key and as far afield as Mix Club and Propaganda in Russia amongst many others. Since The End has closed Tim has continued to DJ across London but has been very selective in the parties he DJs for where he knows the setting is just right - most recently at Mr C’s Superfreq parties. He also runs a weekly radio show on the world renowned HouseFM where he indulges his great love of deep and tech house music.
