The following findings show that the book of Hebrew which many think the author to be unknown is written by Paul the apostle.
1. Paul was the only writer who talked about himself being bound. Hebrews 10:34; Acts 26:29; Eph 6:20; Philemon 10;
2. Only in Paul’s epistles believers are admonished to remember other brethren in bonds. Heb 13:3; Colossians 4:18
3. It is only in Paul’s epistles you see the word, ‘’God of peace,’’ ‘’God of hope,’’ ‘’God of consolation,’’ ‘’God of patience.’’ Heb 13:20; Romans 16:20; 15:5,13,33.
4. It is only Paul who closes his letters with ‘’ The grace of God.’’ Heb13:25; Philemon25; Tit3:15; 2Timothy4:22; 1Timothy 6:21; 2Thessalonians3:18; 1Thessalonians 5:28; Col 4:18; Phil 4:23; Eph 6:24; Gal6:18; 2Cor13:14; 1Cor 16:23; Rom 16:24.
5. Paul is the only one among other writers of the new testament who addresses Timothy either as a son or as a brother. Heb13:23; 2Tim2:1; 1Tim1:2; Phil2:22.
6. Paul did not have direct contact with Jesus,the other writers had direct contact with Jesus. The message was confirmed to Paul by them that heard Him, Jesus. Heb2:3.
7. Heb13:18,19 matches with Philemon22.
