Make that 60-minute meeting 30 minutes.

Make that 30-minute meeting 15 minutes.

Make that 15-minute meeting an email.

Respect people’s time.

But here’s the curveball:

A recent survey by CVS Health/Morning Consult shows that 6 out of 10 Americans have concerns about their own mental health or that of family and friends.

If you know an employee is struggling—

Make that email a 15-minute check-in.

Make that 15-minute check-in 30 minutes.

Make that 30-minute check-in 60 minutes.

Be there for them. Ask questions. Show empathy.

Find ways to support them at work.

Yes, a lot of meetings are a waste of time and should either be shortened or deleted.

But don’t apply that same logic to your team members.

Because that extra time you dedicate to them as a manager?

Could be life-changing.

One of the most exciting and happy things I do in my work is to share my knowledge with others, motivating and inspiring them to grow their businesses (and themselves) to new heights!

I absolutely LOVE when I'm speaking to an audience, and I see the “light bulb” switch on. Their faces light up, their eyes sparkle, and their entire body language says “YES! This is what I needed to hear, tell me more!”

I had the privilege of seeing that happen with dozens of attendees for a recent training I did on the topic of Mergers and Acquisitions for Roland Frasier's group. It was an AMAZING audience, and I was so honored to be able to share with them.

Wow! I'm humbled and honored to be featured in this Medium article about “Saving businesses and saving jobs” through strategic investing”

I've been busy lately speaking on a variety of podcasts, with the intention of giving hope to owners of struggling businesses, and fresh vision to owners of businesses who are already strong, but want to grow more through strategic investments.

In the old days, I could stand on a stage, look out on an audience and tell by their faces when I was successful at educating, inspiring, or motivating them. Now, in the virtual/podcast world, I'm not always sure if anyone is listening when I speak, but here is powerful evidence that least one person was paying attention (besides my Mom of course!).
