There aren’t many things more entertaining than seeing a driver get pulled into a port and then given a goody bag and being told thanks for what you do. It takes them totally off guard. The Utah Trucking Association has been doing this during Truck Driver Appreciation Week for as long as I can remember. It’s one of my favorite things to do every year. They will be at the Perry port tomorrow, Wendover on Thursday and St George on Friday. They usually do it from 9-10:30 in the morning.

Quick stop at Glen Canyon Dam. Such a beautiful view. Next time I need to check out the visitors center. It looks like there is enough room to pull off the road on the north side right before you go over the bridge. Would be a great way to spend a 30 minute break.
