I'm compiling my list now for extras on January 24. Who's in?

We basically just need you to sit at a table and pretend to be at a restaurant doing restaurant things. Assuming you've ever been to a restaurant and ate food, this should be relatively easy to do. ;)

If you're likely to flake, I can still add you to the list as a maybe. Just be honest. A good amount of my friends are artists and musicians. You know you flake out, and I can call you on it because I do too.

Okay, we have a movie shoot scheduled at Thai Garden on January 24. If you want to be an extra, comment or message me. We need people to sit in chairs and pretend to be customers. There is no pay other than IMDB credit and the thrill of seeing yourself in a no-budget movie that hopefully will start making the film festival rounds in spring.

I will also need extras at a date TBD. If you can't make January 24, but want to be an extra still, please contact me.

Serious people only. There is nothing more frustrating than a huge list of OMG--I WANT TO BE IN YOUR MOVIE people who never show up on film shoot day (and usually never call).

Starting up production for the Batman movie again. This one got put on hold for a while. Here are the characters we need:
1. Batman (pretty sure that's filled)
2. Catwoman (ditto)
3. Joker or Batman Stand-In (because Stan can't play both at the same time)
4. Alfred
5. Penguin
6. Riddler
7. several trick or treaters
8. a few extras
9. additional people as we mess with the script

We've finally started pre-pre-pre-production on a new short: The Waiter. We will need the following (so far): a restaurant to shoot one scene in, and one person to play a straight man role. Not sure how many scenes he will have. At least two. We won't need the restaurant long, so if you have any connections or can point me in the direction of a very nice restauranteur who is a fan of the arts, let me know.

We got the email yesterday: Dragon*Con has accepted The Robbery in the Short Film Festival!!!!!!! We're beyond excited! Regardless of awards, judging, etc, we will be seen. Goal already accomplished.

Seriously trying to get a movie project off the ground. Deadline for submission to this particular film festival is in May, soooooo we'll see. If you really wanna help me, say you'll be The Penguin. And that you have a tux or Penguinish fancy suit as well. More to come when I get dates hammered out. I'd love to start this Saturday, but that could just be the Sudafed mania talking. Allergy meds make me crazy...and apparently motivated to do movies. Maybe I'm an over-the-counter Oliver Stone. ;)

Jason Mackey, local filmmaker (from Punchers Chance Productions) is working on a short film. If anyone would like to help out, send him a message. There's a female bit part that hasn't been cast as well. Trampoline Girl Films is doing their part to support local filmmakers...especially when they are in process of doing things rather than saying "I really need to start that."

We are going to start early production work on the next movie after the holidays, sooooo...if you see me (Tina) or Stan, feel free to ask us if we've started the movie to the point that it either drives us mad or forces us into a production frenzy like the guy in Re**er Madness that demands the piano be played faster and faster. So I guess either way we go mad, but maybe we'll get a movie done in the process.

Casting/Crew call: we need some folks to play the following characters
BATMAN (one scene only)
PENGUIN (tiny tiny scene)
RIDDLER
ALFRED
some extras here and there

And very important: we need someone that can draw comic booky Gotham City backgrounds. Somewhere in between Burton and West is cool. No Schumacher.
