Gypsy (Smart Gypsy Lady) will celebrate her 4th birthday today, May 9, with lots of spoiling. First, this English Setter will go to the park to participate in her favorite pastime - pointing at birds. Then, she will come home and play with her birthday gift – a new squeaky ball. Happy 14th birthday to Sampson!

This elderly English Setter no longer sprints across fields like he did as a youngster, but he never misses his one-hour vibrant daily walk. He no longer raises his tail to 12 o'clock while pointing at birds, but he still lifts his front paw. And he no longer vigorously tosses his squeaky toy around the living room, but instead gently carries it. One feature, however, about my beloved Sampson (Smart Lady's Singleton Sam) endures: his Sensational Setter Smile! The adorable puppy who stole everyone's heart with that smile when he came into this world all those years ago celebrates his 14th birthday today, April 30. This beautiful bird dog will be spoiled with a morning walk at his favorite park, where he can point at birds, and later with a special dinner of rabbit and potato. Please join me in wishing a happy birthday to this fine representative of the English Setter breed.

By day, this English Setter girl is an energetic bird dog who spends hours pointing at anything with wings in the backyard and at the park. Happy 13th birthday to Sampson! 🎉

He was just under 13 ounces when he came into this world on this day 13 years ago, and he gently slept in the palm of my hand. Now, he is a muscular 57 pounds and prefers sleeping across my lower legs until my feet are numb. His name is Sampson (Smart Lady's Singleton Sam), and today, April 30th, is his 13th birthday. This sweet boy is the total package. He hunts, he is handsome, he is affectionate, and he even likes to play with squeaky toys. I am blessed to have him in my life, and I pray that we have many more wonderful days ahead. Please join me in wishing a happy birthday to this fine representative of the English Setter breed.

God bless Lady 🙏

Four years ago today, Lady (Zippo Smart Lady), my beloved and beautiful 13-year-old English Setter, was allowed to peacefully go over the Rainbow Bridge at her home surrounded by family, friends and her son, Sampson. I am honored to have had this inspirational girl as a part of my life. On that day, Lady – who had lived the final two years of her life with a heart pacemaker and also had overcome intestinal lymphoma – gently went to God as I sang her favorite lullaby and softly stroked her head. Lady may have gone to doggy Heaven, but her presence is still very much alive here on Earth. Her now 12-year-old son, Sampson (Smart Lady's Singleton Sam) and her 2-year-old great-niece, Gypsy (Smart Gypsy Lady), have formed a deep bond. And Sampson has passed along the exact same skills in the fields and horseplay at home that he learned from his mother to Gypsy – right down to playing with squeaky toys in the living room at the ungodly hour of 2 a.m. Yes, the circle of life keeps on churning! Please join me in remembering and celebrating the life of this lovely little lady.

This sweet English Setter girl is the complete package. She loves to point at birds in the fields, play with her squeaky ball at home and snuggle up next you on the sofa in the evening. Her name is Gypsy (Smart Gypsy Lady), and today, May 9, is her 2nd birthday. She will get lots of spoiling on her birthday. First, she will go to her favorite park to point at birds. Next, she will be given a new squeaky ball when she returns home. And lastly, she will enjoy freshly baked chicken breast for dinner. Our household motto: "A spoiled Setter is a happy Setter!" God bless Lady 🙏

Three years ago today, Lady (Zippo Smart Lady), my beloved and beautiful 13-year-old English Setter, was allowed to peacefully go over the Rainbow Bridge at her home surrounded by family, friends and her son, Sampson. I am honored to have had this inspirational girl as a part of my life. Sampson (Smart Lady's Singleton Sam), who adored his mother and was heartbroken after losing her, continues to honor Lady by carrying on the traditions that he learned from her in the fields and at home. Every morning, 11-year-old Sampson teaches 19-month-old Gypsy (Lady's great-neice) bird dog techniques at the very same fields where Lady taught him. But the teaching does not end in the fields. It continues at home. After a big midday meal, Sampson – in the exact same way that Lady did with him when he was a youngster – has taught Gypsy how to play with (and, of course, disassemble!) squeaky toys as well as how to remove all the coverings on the furniture while roughhousing in the living room. Lady may have gone to doggy Heaven, but her spirit is very much alive here on Earth. Well done, Sampson and Gypsy!

Today, April 30, is Sampson's 11th birthday!🎉🎉🎉 Sampson gets spoiled on his birthday even more than usual. First, this beautiful English Setter bird dog will go to his favorite park, where he loves to sprint, point at birds🐥🦆🐦🦅 🦜 and roll around in the soft grass. The happy-go-lucky birthday boy with the Super Setter Smile will then enjoy turkey - his favorite food - for lunch, dinner and then again as a late-night snack. His day will end with a bedtime brushing and a big-time belly rub!
