*Time to end long night of suffering for Kashmiris: tweets Imran Khan*

Srinagar : After the reports of India and Pakistan locking horns on Line of Control, Prime Minister of Pakistan, Imran Khan, said, “It is time to end the long night of suffering for the people of Occupied Kashmir,” and added that the people of Kashmir must be allowed to exercise their right to self determination according to United Nation SC resolutions.
Tweeting a thread on his official twitter handle, he wrote, “The only road to peace & security in South Asia runs through a peaceful & just settlement of Kashmir.”

In another tweet, condemning India’s attack across LoC he said, “Use of cluster munitions in violation of int humanitarian law and it’s own commitments under the 1983 Convention on Certain Conventional Weapons. UNSC must take note of this international threat to peace & security.”

Talking regarding United State’s President, Donald Trump’s offer to mediate in the issue, he wrote, “President Trump offered to mediate on Kashmir. This is the time to do so as situation deteriorates there and along the LOC with new aggressive actions being taken by Indian occupation forces. This has the potential to blow up into a regional crisis.”

Earlier this week, Jammu and Kashmir government on Friday issued security advisory in the interest of Amarnath Yatra pilgrims and tourists.

In an order isssued by Government of Jammu and Kashmir Civil Secretariat Home Department it is mentioned that in the interest of safety and security of tourists and Amarnath Yatris, it is advised that they may curtail their stay in the valley immediately and take necessary measures to return as soon as possible”, keeping in view the latest intelligence inputs of militant threats.

*Sopore Encounter: Militant killed,armyman injured in ongoing operation*

Srinagar, August 03: A militant has been killed and a army solidier injured in a fierce gunfight which broke out between militants and government forces in Malmapanpora area of Warpora of North Kashmir's Sopore on Saturday.

A senior Police officer told GNS that after a brief pause in firing, contact was again established with militants. During course if firing one militant has been killed and also one army solidier received bullet wound and has been shifted to hospital.

The officer further said that the operation is underway in the area.

Earlier Reports reaching GNS said that a joint team of Army's 22RR, SOG and CRPF launched cordon and search operation in Malmaponpora.(GNS)
