As 2023 closes. I am grateful for many things and learnt many lessons. While i have to learn to accept that not everybody appreciates your passion and perspective, it is good and definitely better to be around those who values you and appreciates the kind of work i try to do for the betterment of the community.

The journey with the Subaru community has been mostly positive, and definitely looking forward to more exciting adventures with the little panda and planning to reunite with the big panda in the north.

to more adventures ahead !!

Somehow it gives off a "Tokyo-ish" vibe during the cloudless winter season.

Gotta thank fellow FNA owners for sparing some time during their family weekends to join the shoot. Its a great start and I'm sure there will be more opportunities to shoot more images together !

"Proud of Boxer"

Probably the only one in the world. Brings a smile each time i start the car, and impresses those who come onboard to experience the growl of the boxer, and to experience the modern sporty sophistication of a passionate Subaru.

2023 has been awesome ! Life has been pretty great and filled with so much excitement.. all thanks to the little panda here.

Hoping it's all great for my fellow JDM peeps out there ! may 2024 be yet another exciting year ahead for us, and i hope to start driving around to meet you guys and to venture further up North to Thailand real soon !

Having good brakes and tires means a lot when you are driving in any vehicle. There are reasons why drivers invest in a set of brakes and tires. One of which is safety considerations. It is then inevitable that when you value performance and top safety factors, you will just splurge on better brakes and better tires. And for me... Brembo brakes and Yokohama Advans are some of the better tires out in the market.

In Singapore, we spent hundreds of grand on a car, and why would we scrimp on tires? Well.. I do hope to have a chance to experience tires from other brands to have another perspective. :)

A 2023 that I need to be thankful for.
And that to transition into the Subie community has been an enjoyable one, but not without it's many hiccups and a barrage of queries to how one can maximise the potential of this little panda.

A great big shoutout to . Whom i had the privilege to have known him for many years prior to my ownership of a Subaru. He who is a seasoned Subarist have guided and shown me the path of darkness and poverty.

Nonetheless, it has been a great 2023 and I'm definitely looking forward to meet fellow Subarist and Fozzie owners in Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand !

I wish that i could keep this car with me for a long time. Its really a different breed of car. And it is indeed a car that made me fell in love with the whole Subaru culture and community. The strong support of the brand and the car's unique identity.

Still waiting on for more parts from Japan. and more installs and fun in the coming months!

It's a challenge to keep the cars clean and paintwork tip top glossy. Making sure it's always ready for a shoot. But the commitment and discipline will pay off in the photos when the cars turn out sparkly clean. 🤣🤣

Weather, geographic location, and timing play a critical role in creating images that is a certain aesthetic. Yet i cannot deny that Singapore, despite its small land mass, we are still able to find small pockets of space to shoot. And somehow returning for the 3rd time here. I can still find some inspiration here.

Happy to be back shooting some images to burn off some time here and there.

The little Panda

Thank you for the encouragement and the love so far! Absolutely loving the local Subaru community and fellow JDM car enthusiasts for giving me support, and hopefully, we make the local car scene a little more inclusive.

The Panda will still have a few more upgrades scheduled in 2024, and we will continue to plan for meetups in Singapore and hopefully up north for our fellow buddies in Malaysia and Thailand!

It growls in the morning, and screams inside tunnels.
A very special custom Sakamoto muffler.

It has a very unique note, and when it rolls into an enclosed area, people think its a bad-ass WRX rolling in.

However, all those goody sounds have been silenced 50%, as there was a custom resonator fabricated to keep the neighbours and babies happy at 5am.

It will all change soon. and i mean... real soon. 🤣🤣🤣

TGIF !!

A surprise find within this very secluded spot in Singapore. Popular among hikers and a nice little spot for a quiet getaway from the bustling roads around the city area. Indeed its peaceful, and spacious for 1 to 2 cars to shoot.

Subaru is just a very different breed of car. And often termed as a "Japanese Muscle". And with all that power, you need to have the car's information and details at your fingertips.

To better understand the car's performance and to constantly ensure that your vehicle is in excellent serviceable condition. I've upgraded the head unit, a customised booting screen, LUFI XS OBD reader, and an iOS app to monitor additional data points.

Afterall. Having more data displayed is something I appreciate a lot.

Easing back into shooting the revamped look of the car with some additional parts inspired from Sarah-n-Tuned , and while i made some slight deviations away from the OEM+ look, i do get quite a bit of inquiries for this little white panda. Thank you for the nice compliments and appreciation to the dedication of keeping white cars clean and glossy.

Preparing for the next little facelift coming in a few day's time.

The transition is long but necessary... more parts are arriving from Japan, and they will probably give the Forester a more aggressive look? Or maybe we should stick to the basics and commit towards the OEM+ look. 😅

Starting the week with some close ups 🧐
In my personal attempt to get a closer match to a "Upper tier" of a OEM+ JDM of the Forester NA.

There are just THAT much you can do, but i just hope to stay as close and as true to my commitment to build a car that i can drive daily, and fall in love with the moments i have with the car.

May not be the fastest. But its a car that I'm proud to have. 🤗
