As a parent what does date night look like to you? My husband and I do our best to prioritize alone time and that sometimes means doing an overnight together at a local hotel.

We recently celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary and wanted to keep the celebration going so we spent the night at Sonesta Irvine for some R&R, and a nice dinner out.

We stayed in a king size corner studio suite and enjoyed an expansive sitting area with delightful views of the city.

We swam in the pool, relaxed in the whirlpool bath, laid out in the sunshine and even worked out together in the gym. When we left to go home, we felt recharged and refreshed.

If you want to see a performance of one of the most successful broadways shows in the world, get tickets to see The Lion King on stage. They are currently performing in Costa Mesa’s at the Segerstrom Center for the Arts Thursday, February 1 to Sunday, February 25.

I took my daughter to see this for the very first time last night and we were both awe-struck by just how magical the show was. There simply isn't another show like this. I have never seen such innovative costumes on an ensemble and the entire show was so interactive.

Disney’s The Lion King is coming to Segerstrom Center for the Arts in Costa Mesa!

The most eagerly awaited stage production ever will leap onto the
Segerstrom Center for the Arts stage from Thursday, February 1 to Sunday, February 25.

The Lion King will play Tuesdays through Fridays at 7:30 PM, Saturdays at 2:00 PM and 7:30 PM, and Sundays at 1:00 PM and 6:30 PM. There will also be a special 2:00 PM matinee performance on Thursday, February 1. Premium Ticket Packages, which include a
prime seat location, a souvenir program and a cinch bag, are also available.

Who needs a passport?

The Los Angeles Post Office has an upcoming passport fair that will offer first come, first serve appointments this Sunday!

To ensure U.S. citizens are ready for their travel needs in 2024, the Los Angeles Postal Service will begin hosting a series of passport fairs to help customers prepare for internationally travel. Appointments will not be required at this event, but customers are encouraged to show up early, as applicants will be served on a first-come, first-served basis. Only 100 applicants will be accepted.

Each Museum Month pass can be used for up to four half-priced admissions at any of the participating museums. (Additional fees may apply for special exhibitions and events at some museums.) Guests can use their Museum Month pass to visit as many museums as they would like from Feb. 1-29, 2024.

Museum Month is not valid in conjunction with any other discounts or with the Balboa Park Explorer pass.
