An alumnus of Anislag National High School Batch 2008, Mr. Paul John Q. Ibasco, graced the ANHS 7th Graduation Rites as guest speaker and inspired more than 500 senior high graduates with his heartfelt inspirational speech. He shared that despite several failures he had experienced in his college journey, he continued persevering in achieving his dreams until he became successful in life. His presence in this momentous event is truly an honor to ANHS and his uplifting life story is indeed an inspiration to the ANHS Graduates of 2024.

Grade 12 graduates marked the culmination of their high school journey with a grand Graduation Ceremony held today, May 30, 2023 in Anislag covered court, Anislag, Daraga, Albay. The event celebrates the hard work, perseverance, and achievements of the graduating class as they prepare to step into the next phase of their lives.
The ceremony commenced at 7:00 AM with the venue beautifully adorned, reflecting the significance of the occasion. Families, friends, teachers, and stakeholders gathered to honor the graduates and to unite with the celebration of their academic success.
Guest Speaker, Mr. Paul John Q. Ibasco, an ANHS alumnus and a UP graduate graced the event with a heartfelt speech, acknowledging the graduates' dedication and resilience.
The highlight of the ceremony was the presentation of diplomas. Each graduate walked across the stage, receiving their diploma amid applause and cheers from the audience. Special awards were given to students who excelled in academics, sports, leadership, and community service, recognizing their exceptional contributions.

The Grade 10 completers gathered at Our Lady of Salvacion Parish Church in Anislag, Daraga, Albay, for the Thanksgiving Mass on May 28, 2024 to celebrate the culmination of their hard work, patience and perseverance in their junior high school journey.

Five hundred twenty Grade 10 students have been officially proclaimed completers during their Moving Up Ceremony held today, May 29, 2024 at the Barangay Anislag covered court, Daraga, Albay with a theme, "Kabataang Pilipino Para sa Matatag na Kinabukasan ng Bagong Pilipinas."
The venue was festively decorated to honor the incredible accomplishments and significant breakthrough of the young students. Proud parents, teachers, and members of the community were present to witness and celebrate the remarkable scholastic achievements of the Grade 10 completers.
At 7:00am, the ceremony commenced with the processional and entrance of colors of the selected CAT Officers. The event was graced with a prayer led by Denise Mae C. Dado, singing of Philippine National Anthem with a tableau presentation of the selected students and DepEd Albay Hymn conducted by Ms. Gladys Mae L. Millena. John Carl Avila also expressed his words of welcome.
The OIC-Assistant Principal, Ms. Kariza Matociรฑos, presented the candidates for completion and the school principal, Mr. Tito L. Aycardo, Jr., confirmed the completers for having satisfactorily completed the requirements in junior high school curriculum.
Ms. Matociรฑos introduced the guest speaker who is an alumna of ANHS Batch 2006. The guest speaker, PSSgt. Johannabel M. Callada, honored the ceremony with an inspiring message, highlighting the perseverance and dedication shown by the students throughout their junior high school years.
One of the highlights of the event was the distribution of diplomas to the completers and presentation of the awards and medals to the academic awardees. The students along with their parents walked across the stage to receive their certificates and awards. Special awards were also given to students who excelled in academics and extra curricular activities.
The academic excellence awardee, Kenneth Agda, delivered a heartfelt speech, expressing gratitude to teachers, parents, and classmates for their support and encouragement.
The Moving Up Ceremony concluded with the pledge of loyalty led by Mary Louraine Astaรฑo, words of acknowledgement by Mr. Arjay Roy, chairman of G10 Level, singing of the original completion song of the students, exit of colors and recessional. The completers together with their families left the pavement filled with pride and excitement as this event signals the next chapter of their educational journey.

Anislag National High School held its Recognition Rites for Grade 7 and Grade 8 students today, May 23, 2024, at ANHS covered court with a theme, "Kabataang Filipino para sa Matatag na Kinabukasan ng Bagong Pilipinas."
Ninety eight G7 and 110 G8 students were given special recognition for their academic success. Also, there were sixteen G7 and seven G8 special awardees who were honored for their exemplary achievements in sports and campus journalism.
This school's year end gathering of students, parents, teachers, and school officials serves as a celebration of the students' hard work and significant milestones in their academic journey.
The ceremony concluded with an inspiring message given by Mrs. Gina Belgica, TLE Department Head. She was delighted and grateful to see the students together with their parents receiving the awards. She also reminded them to continue their pursuit of excellence. In her emotional speech, she requested the parents to be with their child/children and express their love for them.

The recent Senate hearing led by Senator Risa Hontiveros has exposed a farce so egregious that the immediate conviction of Mayor Alice Guo is not just a legal necessity but a moral imperative. The evidence presented reveals a tangled web of deceit, questionable affiliations, and blatant lies that cannot be ignored any longer.
Mayor Alice Guo, who seemingly appeared out of thin air during the 2022 elections, lacks the fundamental credentials to substantiate her identity as a Filipino national. The absence of school records, dubious birth registration, and conflicting documentation regarding her father's nationality paint a picture of someone who has manipulated the system at every turn. Guoโs claims of being homeschooled without being able to name a single homeschooling provider is a glaring red flag. Any legitimate homeschooling parent knows the importance of these records. Her entire narrative is riddled with inconsistencies that scream fraud.
Moreover, the revelation that her father, known publicly as Angelito Guo, is actually Jian Zhong Guo further complicates her story. This duality in names raises serious questions about the legitimacy of her claims to Filipino citizenship. It's clear that Guo has been playing a double game, exploiting both her supposed Filipino identity and her Chinese connections to her advantage.
The deeper we dig, the more disturbing the connections become. Guo's ties to Philippine Offshore Gaming Operators (POGOs) and their involvement in nefarious activities such as hacking and surveillance, particularly targeting government websites, cannot be dismissed as mere coincidence. The document showing her assistance in securing a letter of no objection for the POGO Hongsheng, despite her denial, is damning evidence of her duplicity. Her role as an incorporator of Baofu and the subsequent lies about her connections to these operations only further underscore her deceit.
This situation is not just a failure of one individual but also highlights a broader issue: the gullibility and complicity of some Filipino citizens. Many were easily swayed by Guo's facade, allowing her to exploit the system for her gain. The willingness of certain individuals to turn a blind eye or actively participate in her schemes in exchange for financial benefits is a disgrace. It is a stark reminder that corruption and deception thrive not just because of the perpetrators but also due to the enablers within our society.
The evidence is overwhelming, and the consequences of inaction are dire. Allowing Mayor Alice Guo to continue in her position would be a grave injustice and a mockery of our legal system. Her immediate conviction is necessary to uphold the integrity of our government and protect our national security from further exploitation.
It's time for the Filipino people to wake up and recognize the threat posed by individuals like Guo. We must demand accountability, not just from our leaders, but from ourselves as citizens. Only through vigilance and a commitment to truth can we prevent such deceptions from taking root in our society again. Mayor Alice Guo's conviction should be swift and unequivocal. Anything less is an insult to the intelligence and dignity of our nation.

Anislag National High School recently hosted its highly anticipated STEMPosium: STEMcares culminating activity of G12 STEM students, showcasing the culmination of months of hard work and dedication of the students and faculty alike. The event was held in the school's theater room on May 13, 2024 from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.. The program brought the entire school community together to celebrate the achievements of budding young scientists, engineers, and innovators.
STEMPosium: STEMcares served as the capstone culminating activity for the school's STEM program, providing students with a platform to showcase their innovative projects and solutions to real-world problems such as application that would help person with speech defects, uses of banana byproducts, the usage of taro leaves as eco friendly bags, the use of coco pit's absorption properties, and the effects of cigarette smoke to plant growth.
Throughout the day, attendees had the opportunity to explore the research exhibits, participate in hands-on demonstrations, and engage in different research projects. At the end of the presentation, students who attended will rank the innovations from the lowest score of 1 to 5 as the highest score.
The event also featured keynote speakers from the STEM industry, such as STEM Coordinator, Cidie Boy Baldo, OIC Assistant Principal, Jean Raynes and OIC Assistant Principal, Norlito Magalona providing the aspiring STEM students with their inspiring speeches and knowledge about the STEM strand.

In support to the implementation of Anislag National High School's Project REAL (Remedial and Enrichment Activities for Learners), Bicol University College of Education (BUCE) Mathematics Club has donated instructional materials such as whiteboards and erasers that can be used in an individual and collaborative numeracy tutorials.
Anislag National High School is remarkably delighted to the BU Math Club President, Odessa Reptin, Club Officer, Cherelle Mejillano, and student teacher, Alfrancis Lozano, together with the other club officers for their incredible support that has been extended to the school. Both Mejillano and Lozano are currently having their practice teaching in the school.
The project REAL has just commenced this school year in adherence to the National Learning Recovery Program of the Department of Education (DepEd). The program aims to provide the recipients with arithmetic remedial and tutorial with the assistance of Mathematics teachers. Mrs. Cherry Lita, project REAL leader, said, "The primary goal of the program is to improve the numeracy skills of the students and to augment the school's result in ALNA (Albay Numeracy Assessment ) by at least 3%."

After a 5-day competition in different fields of sports, Schools Division Office (SDO) Albay hailed as the 1st Runner Up in the over-all tally in the recently concluded Bicol Meet 2024. Albay has clinched a total of seventy gold, 69 silver and 76 bronze medals.
Notably, eleven students from Anislag National High School emerged as standout performers, contributing significantly to SDO Albay's overall success. With their impressive display of athleticism and sportsmanship, these students garnered attention and accolades, further solidifying their school's reputation as a powerhouse in regional sports competitions.

Our midshipman of the day originated from the oldest-founded town of Camalig in the Bicol Region, Midn/LTJG Luna, Jefrrey Llanera an alumnus of the esteemed Anislag National High School in Daraga, Albay.
Midn/LTJG Luna is a proud member of the Silent Drill company, whom members of this committee, referred to as "Crackers.โ The epitome of skill, tenacity, self-control, and commitment; qualities that set each cracker apart from others.
He traveled to several countries while completing his shipboard training with Latsco Marine Management Inc., but South Korea, Argentina, and Texas stood out in his memory the most as he finished his second-class year.
Managing multiple responsibilities requires a high degree of dedication, excellent time management, and the ability to prioritize tasks. Nevertheless, Midn/LTJG Luna views these challenges as opportunities for personal development, developing a sense of responsibility, and instilling in him the values of cooperation and teamwork as he continues to stand firm and serve the Corps of Midshipmen as the Bravo Executive Officer.
After he graduates, Midn/LTJG Luna will start his career as a merchant marine officer. He claims that a cadet's life embodies the meaning of Philippians 4:13, "I can do all things through Him who strengthens me." He believes that those who take calculated risks are not just getting by but thriving; every risk they take molds their future; every obstacle they overcome makes them stronger, and every new skill they acquire moves them closer to their goal.

Batch 1994 alumni of Anislag National High School sponsored newly installed 2 units of railings in the school. This project was an initiative of Batch 1994 through Mrs. Charmaine Nimo Gadgode and company.
Such initiative not only enhances the safety and aesthetics of the school environment but also reflects the enduring spirit of community and support among graduates of Anislag National High School.

Maria Geliane Maraรฑo, a G10-Guava student of Anislag National High School, won 3rd Place in the on-the-spot oratorical composition and presentation in Filipino during the Division Festival of Talents (DFOT) held today, May 2, 2024 at Camalig National High School, Camalig, Albay with a theme, "Galing, Talino at Husay ng mga Batang Makabansa sa Diwa ng MATATAG na Adhika."
Despite being a first timer in the event, Maraรฑo's writing prowess and experience as a campus journalist made her stand out among the other twenty five contenders in the Division of Albay. Maraรฑo shared that overcoming fear of the crowd, and following instructions also contributed to her winnings. Maraรฑo was with her coach, Mrs. Mary Jane Bondoy, Master Teacher I in Filipino.
Moreover, Irish Nicole Homillano, a G10-Mangosteen student, also represented Daraga South District in the English category of the same event and her coach was Mr. Arjay Roy, a junior high school teacher.
The Division Festival of Talents aims to develop the talents of the primary and secondary students in the different learning areas, to select talented and skilled learners that will represent the Division in the Regional Festival of Talents (RFOT) and to benchmark strategies for teachers.

ANHS students embarked in a once in a life time scientific adventure as the Mierakells Interactives' Space Science Roadshow "touched down" in Anislag NHS today, April 25, 2024.
This space show took the students on an exciting journey exploring a vast universe through astronomy related activities and lectures. The activities launched were space dome, astro talks and space gallery, rocket launching, photo booth and star gazing.
Students have explored the planet earth and other celestial bodies found in the galaxy in the digital mobile planetarium. Informative talks about space and astronomy were also held in the astro talks and space gallery.
Moreover, the basic fundamentals in Physics were emphasized in the rocket launching. Students have personally witnessed the planets and stars using the telescope in the star gazing. Another activity that made the students experience memorable was the photo booth. Students were given the opportunity to have the photo op and capture their amazing science exploration.
This Space Show would not be possible without the dedication of the ANHS Science teachers together with the other staff. This collaboration with the Space Show team does not only aim to bring education but also entertainment to the students.
