Most favourite day in Vietnam 🌸… swipe till the end for my favourite picture 🐷 !!!

Storytime : I absolutely enjoy riding a scooter 🛵 !!! I wish I could ride it in Bombay but the streets are very busy & polluted and traffic is too unruly… so whenever I travel and get an opportunity to , I never miss it !
Fun fact , I’m also a very skilled and safe rider 😎
Riding liberates me in so many ways.. I feel confident and if I have open roads & a great weather along with it then toh maza hi aa jaata hai ✨
The weather in SaPa was brilliant and we were enjoying riding there but nobody told us that the way to Cat Cat Village was difficult 🫠
It was continuously raining , the road is not concrete so it was completely mucky , the temperature was about 8°C so visibility was reallyyyy low and the route was very steep !!! We somehow braved going down to Cat Cat village but while coming back up , at one point where the road was almost at a 70 degree angle, my scooter just wasn’t going up (obv cause I’m heavy and the scooter didn’t have the power to go up that angle with me ) and I got stuck at such a point where I couldn’t even switch off and leave my scooter cause we’d both fall off the cliff 😱😰 !!! Tushar heard me screaming and stopped but even he was at a point where if he left his scooter , the scooter would’ve slid down and hit me only… He’d have to go all the way up , leave his scooter at a more even spot and then come back down to help me…
I was slowly losing grip of the bike cause my fingers were tired and it was very cold 😰
This was one of the scariest moments of my life…our life !
Right then an old English couple who were hiking up saw me and the uncle came running to help me 😭
He pushed my scooter from behind while running behind me until I reached a more even spot 🥹 He then let go before asking me if I needed more help ✨
We chatted with them for a bit and left… For me , that couple and that man were GOD 🌸
I don’t even want to imagine what could’ve happened had that man not been there 🥺…I say a little prayer for him , for them , wherever they are everytime I think of that moment 🙏🏻✨

I was at the pool recently , minding my business , clicking pictures and enjoying my time ( all of 2 seconds !!! ) when this man began taking videos of me…💁🏻‍♀️
This was at 5 star resort haan , not even on a public beach !💯
I waited to see if I was just “being paranoid” but nah , he did it again..
I looked at him and even stared back the next few times he did it but nope , he did it again…🙃
Finally , I mustered up the courage to scream ( cause he was at the other end of the pool ) and asked him to stop taking my videos cause it made me uncomfortable and he had the audacity to say “ Nahi main aapke videos nahi le raha hoon ! “ 😤 I responded with , “ Toh yaha camera mat lekar ao phir please !” .
Obviously this put him on a spot in front of other guests and his family so he stopped then…
But my entire pool experience got ruined and I felt so uncomfortable and unsafe to spend more time there… even getting out of the pool was hard cause the staring didn’t stop !!!🤷🏻‍♀️
And you know what’s the cherry on top of it all..an older lady from his group ( possibly the mother or aunt who had just come to the pool and was being told what happened by another man from the group) very loudly commented while I was getting out of the pool , evidently meaning for me to hear it , “ iska video koi kyu lega “ …

This wasn’t my first incident . Men have behaved like this , stared and taken photos/ videos of me while I’ve been on the beach , at tourist spots etc too..
I’m sure we all have experienced this and it’s so sad that we women have to go through this and be made uncomfortable just for wanting to enjoy the summer in our summer clothes !

Dear Men , stop objectifying us , we are not here for your gaze or even mockery !
And women , stop blindly enabling your men even when they are creeps… address it and stop this behaviour 🙏🏻

People LOVVVVVEEEE to point out what they perceive as “flaws” , in us !

The things that we obviously know are there... the lumps, bumps, stomach that hangs, lines , stretch marks , hair loss , skin anomalies , greying hair and soo much more….

Why do people do that ? Uhmmm let’s see , so many reasons ranging from them having low self esteem to them thinking that we still live in the Stone Age and don’t own mirrors 😜✌🏻

So if any such person has brought you down lately , I wanna tell you that it’s okay to have these things… they aren’t flaws , they are things that make you uniquely YOU 🫶🏻

It’s beautiful to exist as you…NOT PERFECT... BUT BEAUTIFUL as we all are! 💜😘🤗

Day 1 & 2 🇻🇳 Ho Chi Minh / Saigon

There’s not a lot to do here so it’s the perfect city to start your Vietnam journey .
We had a nice , relaxed first 2 days here getting used to the Vietnam air , food and people ✨
Highly recommend the City Bus Tour , do the night one if possible…also cause the heat is really heating during the day 😅

Thoughts on day 2 periods 🙂
Safe to say that heart , mind and body are all hurting…

I know lots more pain , discrimination and hurt is currently present around us 💔😔
While we pray for things to get better , I also must acknowledge my struggles and disappointment in the declining shift in people’s mindsets when it comes to our bodies…
Suddenly feels like all the hardwork to fight weight stigma and bias has all been a massive waste :(
Please tell me I’m wrong…

What a night 💜🤣✨ !!!

1. Me , trying very hard not to fall on my own cake and ruin my makeup & the cake ofcourse ( for next time : .official please keep cake cutting before LIIT bottoms up and shots 🥴😂🍻)
2. My sober in laws , uncle and ajji and not so sober brother in law 😎 ( My in laws saw Tushar and I dancing , drunk and enjoying like this for the first time and happy to report that they enjoyed it 😂 My ajji called and asked me the next day , “ How’s the bodypain today after jumping and dancing so much “🤣🤣🤣… *CoolestFamEver !
3. Tushar lingering for 30,000 hours instead of giving me a quick kiss cause photo nahi aaya tha 😅 while I’m awkwardly trying to spot where my ajji and in laws are 🙈
4. Tried very hard to get 1 family photo where everybody was looking into the camera…clearly , failed 😂 Relatable ?
5. My lovely surprises 😍 Some whom I’ve not met since years !!!
