I've returned from the ashes and lit a fire like a phoenix, and I've got a review to go with it

Fit For A King - Dark Skies

Engraved, an album opener that literally grabs you by the throat and forces you into this with no choice. It is super energetic, probably among the heaviest that this album has to offer, and this is a pretty heavy album. It just gets straight to the point, and has a nice chorus to hold your ears. All around what an opener should be, the thing that grabs you and pulls you in, while setting some mild expectations for the rest of the album. 5/5

The Price of Agony is super catchy, probably the most catchy on the album, while keeping that aggressive tone that the last song set up for the album. This has probably the most catchy chorus on the album, and some of the best clean vocals of all the songs here as well. It is absolutely stunning to have two 5/5 songs in a row for me, many albums just can't keep it up when it matters the most, maybe it is the pressure?

Backbreaker should just be called "f**k your ears lol". It is short and sweet, while being the heaviest song on the album in my opinion, but I feel like this song just really lacks some of the quality that the others here have, it feels like they went "lol hey guys let's write a heavy af song and record it rn" it sounds like that song that most albums have where they definitely could have written it in 5 minutes and recorded it in 10. 3/5

Anthem of the Defeated. Cane Hill. That is all i have to say. 2/5 (they did Cane Hill better than Cane Hill did)

When Everything Means Nothing is just that really fun, clean (but not entirely) fun break song, that most albums also have, it's here to be like "yo stick around, we got more to please your ears with, pls stay". And it does this pretty well, super swell and catchy. 5/5

Youth/Division is the most melodic song on the album, it has a nice alt rock opening, which is very refreshing, but then jumps right into the throat punching verse and ear catching chorus. It is a stunning song coming from them. The melody on this one just drives it right home and adds for that icing on the cake to really justify the hype that this album got, this could be swapped with the album closer and be real nice

Shattered Glass. It's heavy, but that's like, all? It has cool lyrics, but immediately is faulted by me because the lyrics are the same word for word until the closing of the song. 2/5

Tower of Pain is really just the tower of ecstasy to my ear holes. It is probably the next most heavy song here, and it is wonderful. Short and sweet, to the point, ear catchy, just like the majority of this album. Super cool song. 5/5

Debts of the Soul is melodic and super short, the length is actually it's only problem, but it is also the most different here. 4/5

Oblivion is a follow up to tower of pain and does everything that song did, as well as tying and nice bow on the album. gg FFAK, 5/5

Album overall gets a 9/10 for me, the only FFAK album to ever score this high for me. It's got nice melodic parts and nice f**k your ears parts.

Welcome back to the page, enjoy your stay, and stay tuned for something special in a few days
