FINALLY! A new blog post!

Happy Sunday!
Hey my friends! So normally I post a new blog post on Sundays. And while I wish I was coming here with a new post this week, I'm here with a life update!

Last week, I skipped my blog post as we had a fun & busy weekend with my mom & sister visiting! I hoped to resume this week, but life happened & I ended up sick earlier this week with a cold. I took a lot of time to rest and recover. I am finally on the upside this weekend. I am going to be working on a new blog post & content to share soon!

My sweet friend, Brooke sent me a box full of gifts and it delivered on the day I needed a pick me up the most this week! 📦💌 I wore some of my new shirts this weekend! 🥰🤩

I did have an interview this week & went while still under the weather. 🙊🙈 More to come on that when I know more! 🙃Lol

📸We took amazing family pictures this weekend and I can't wait to share them! Literally amazing! I scheduled this session way before I lost my job and I was not letting job loss stop us from still making them happen! And I'm so thankful to have captured our family this year since we skipped family pictures last year. Y'all don't skip family pictures! Kids grow so fast!

Holden & Cain had their soccer tournament Saturday & won 1st place! ⚽️🥇❤️ So proud of them!

I am thankful to be feeling better and ready to tackle this week!

I do want to leave you all with a question to ask yourself.....

Grief.

Grief with specifically loosing a loved one. A parent. A child. A spouse. A grandparent. A friend.

It comes in waves. Like the ocean. Sometimes it comes rushing in hard 🌊and other times it comes in light ripples.🩵

No matter the time of losing someone, it still hurts to know you can't call to chat, kiss them goodnight, or hug them and say see you later.

But we can rest in remembering the good times. The times we laughed so hard we snorted. The times we smiled together in our favorite place. The times we shared goals for our future.

It's hard to move forward some days. And some days the loved one we are missing gives us the motivation to keep going. Knowing they would be proud of who you are gives a whole new level of confidence.

I've always been a believer of keeping a loved one's traditions alive once they are gone. Do the things they loved. Go to the places they loved. Make the meals they loved. Celebrate them. Especially their birthday. It may bring a peace you didn't know you need.

Over the weekend we celebrated my daddy's birthday. 😇🧡🍤🚜⚓️
Happy Birthday Daddy, I miss you so much. I find myself seeing more of you in me each and every day. I love you.
