If you ask us what's the best Wu solo album, you may get a different answer every other day. If you ask us what's our FAVORITE Wu solo, it's without a doubt 's solo debut Ironman.

Here, Ghost is a perfect amalgamation of his childhood and wordly influences, from Saturday morning cartoons, to blaxploitation movies to soul music, to afrocentric esoteric theology. With those frames of reference and through that lens he makes sense of his stressful existence, consistently blurring the lines between his very real street life and the technicolor memories in his mind.

RZA's production was at this point, it's most soulful, colorful and aggressive and is a perfect fit for the frustrated, angel dusted flow. The album is an acid trip in a project staircase and an absolute classic.

When it comes to , the Dungeon Dragon seems to be the elephant in the room no one wants to face. A career spanning 30 years, with stellar albums and unrivaled feature run, plus he's one of the biggest showmen the games ever seen. Another Verzuz in the books. Kane had a shorter catalogue but displayed that timeless showmanship, energy and breath control. KRS brought his larger than life persona and a huge catalogue to pick from.
Guest stars came and represented on both sides for an electric night. What are your thoughts on this battle? Who took it?

The Griselda camp has been on a tear for the last few years, earning respect from their elders and collaborating with notable rappers both undergoing and mainstream. While most fans like to compare their run to that of Wu Tang, it may be more comparable to No Limit, with Westside Gunn curating rapid fire releases. Either way, the fans still can't get enough.

What are you thoughts on the Griselda movement? How would you compare their current run to other runs in rap history? Any favorite releases?

What wrestler has the best theme song of all time?
Some of these tunes are so iconic, it's to wonder why more rappers didn't sample them (one exception being "That's Incredible" by Heltah Skeltah, using the Goldust intro)
That being said, who has the GOAT wrestling entrance song?

What Lee Scratch Perry was able to do with 1970s equipment in a 3rd world country puts modern day producers to shame. Innovation through imagination. Exactly what's missing in music today.

The death of Lee Scratch Perry and the release of Kanye's new album really put the word "genius" in the spotlight. What it means and how it's used as part of self branding today as opposed to being bestowed upon you by your most esteemed peers, critics and competitiors.

Lee Perry was rebellious, frenetic and erratic, with innovations that led to drum n bass and revolutionized countless other production techniques and genres. A maverick of trial and error where every success changed the game and every error was at least quirky and interesting.

Chucky Thompson was one of the architects of that 1st wave. Pre-Shiny suits. We're talking leather coats and 'locs era. Mary, Faith, Total. His production had a warm, sexy feel that still had enough knock to it to pass every Jeep speaker test. His masterpiece is undoubtedly Mary J Blige's seminal LP "My Life" but his catalogue is loaded.

One of Puff's best hitmen and one of the most underrated producers of his era.

Suggested listening: "Think Of You", Total "No One Else", "Soon As I Get Home", "You Used To Love Me", "Big Poppa", "You Bring Me Joy".

Earlier this week Nas dropped the sequel to last year's with . Once again produced by Hit-Boy, it features appearances from , , , , , and Blxst. This album sounds like an evolution in the synergy between rapper and producer, as Nas and Hit-Boy seem to be getting into their groove. Standouts include "Death Row East", "Moments", "Store Run" and "Nobody".
Did you get a chance to sit with this project yet? What's your takeaway on Nas' latest?

The genre of music known as arguably started in 1995 with seminal LP, followed by Maxwell's classic "Maxwell's Urban Hang Suite" in 1996. By 1997, the ladies took the baton and ran with it. dropped the game changer and The Fugees's own L-Boogie dropped her own tour-de-force with the dominant a year later.

Of all the Wu affiliates, cousins and in-laws, one emcee that always comes up when it comes to fan favorites is 's . His elite technical skill is anchored by a dry, rugged voice that make his lyrics come even more deadpan as he delivers them one jaw-dropping line after another. A true crime that no definitive solo LP came out to solidify him as one of the most lethal lyricists of his era.

The age old question of quantity vs quality. With studio costs going down (and many artists recording from home), many of your favorite rappers are cranking out music at a rapid pace. Features, beat submissions and shorter track listing allow rappers to drop more albums than their counterparts a decade ago. Some rappers know their window is short and want to strike while the iron's hot. Some take their time and keep the fans waiting for new music at the risk of losing interest.
D'Angelo released three albums in a nearly 30 year career and they're all masterpieces. Meanwhile, a lot of rappers are putting out 5 projects a year minimum. What do you prefer? What are the pros and cons of each?

has gone to great lengths to make people understand what he labels his genius. Online and in-public rants, erratic release schedules that switch from genre to genre and ventures that some may see as a publicity stunt that run the gamut from fashion to music to politics. In recent years some of his moves have left some of the most astute observers scratching their heads.
Can anyone explain what is going on with ? Is there a method to the madness? Is it genius? Is it a burnout? Mental Health issues? Would love to hear what the people think on this.

What would the feel and theme of the album be like?

Some might say Puff is a mainstream version or an extension of Pete's style and blueprint. Repping Uptown NY (Mt. Vernon & Harlem), they both came from the Heavy D stable and made some of the smoothest tracks of the golden era. Both have made their claim to fame the , dropping classics in the 90s, with being bold enough to say he invented it. Although producers, they've both mustered the "courage" to jump on the mic and trade bars with some of the best mcs ever (folks forget people use to criticize the Chocolate Boy Wonder for his mic skills like they do Puff) and even peppered their tracks with some soft spoken ad-libs ("Aaahh Yeahh", "Take That Take That". Who else sees the similarities between Puff and Pete?

A while back had mentioned he was completing a project with producer and it looks like that project is about to see the light of day. With "Life Is Good" almost a decade old and his last two projects (the produced and Lost Tapes 2), getting a lukewarm reception, Nas is either on the verge of a major bounce back or risks alienating his core fanbase. What are your predictions for this new project, to be titled ? Was HitBoy a good pick? Is Nas in fighting shape to deliver a banger?

Nas famously had his pick of the litter when he was crafting his debut masterpiece . The producer Fab Five (Q-Tip, , , and the ) all provided a young Nasir with enough heat to make his album a classic. What emcee would you want to link up with five producers to make a spotless album? Leave your lineup in the comments.
