St. Petersburg is the cultural center of global significance. The city has more than 8000 objects of cultural heritage, including more than 4000 objects of cultural heritage of federal importance.
A scenic view of St. Petersburg is determined by its architecture: straight streets, large squares, gardens and parks, rivers and numerous canals, embankments, bridges, monuments and decorative statues.
Hermitage, Kunstkamera, the Mariinsky Theater, the National Library of Russia, the Russian Museum, Peter and Paul Fortress, St. Isaac’s Cathedral, Nevsky Prospekt are among the most important cultural sites.

La gorge de Khadzhokhsky, un canyon de la rivière Belaya, commence à proximité de Maikop. Près du canyon il y a des cascades du ruisseau Rufabgo.

Kostroma is one of the Russian cities that has preserved, in general, its unique and distinctive architectural appearance.

The architectural heritage of Kostroma is very varied: the monuments of ancient Russian architecture; folk wooden architecture; monuments of Baroque and Classicism. A large group of monuments is the so-called «Russian» style of architecture of the late 19 – early 20 centuries. The architecture of the Soviet period is presented by separate buildings in the style of constructivism, neo-classicism of the 1950. Among the monuments of architecture are a number of major historical and architectural complexes, monasteries, churches, chapels, monuments of civil and industrial architecture, landscape art, monuments of residential architecture.
All in all, there are more than 500 monuments of history and culture in Kostroma, including 60 monuments of federal importance.

📌Kaliningrad was repeatedly recognized as the best city in Russia. It is one of the most beautiful cities in the country.
Also, there is a significant amount of historical monuments of the Teutonic Order and the Prussian periods on the territory of the region – the ruins of castles and churches, remains of ramparts and fortifications.
In the north of the region you can find a unique hydrographic object – the Curonian Spit. It is a long and narrow strip of sandy land that has a form of a saber, separating the Curonian Bay from the Baltic Sea. The length of the spit is 98 km.
Old small towns of the Kaliningrad region can be of great interest. Sovetsk, former Tilsit, has retained its historic architectural plan. It has a large number of monuments and places of interest. In 1807, Napoleon and Alexander I signed the famous Treaty of Tilsit here.

📌Irkutsk is one of the few cities in Siberia, which managed to preserve its historic character and original layout. Its historic center was formed on the site of a wooden fortress, the remains of which were dismantled in 1790. Today, Irkutsk has about 700 monuments of wooden architecture.
Church of the Saviour is the only surviving building of the fortress. Together with the Epiphany Cathedral, they form the oldest architectural ensemble of Irkutsk.
Another prominent ensemble of the city is located on the waterfront of the Angara. It is formed by the monument to the founder of Trans-Siberian Railway – Alexander III, the local history museum with round corner towers made in the Moorish style, and Sibiryakov’s Palace, better known as the «White House», which served as the residence of the governors-general in 1838-1917.

📌Crimea itself comprises three regions. The first of these is made up of a level plain that slopes down gently from south to north. The second region, the Kerch Peninsula, thrusts eastward toward of Krasnodar and consists of low hills. The third region is made up of the alpine fold mountains of the south and the whole coast line is dominated by the mountains that tower above them, sometimes reaching up to 1500 m. The mountain area that stretches from the coast to about 70 km inland contains some very pristine untouched nature.
