Cinema is a time capsule. Its the only way to freeze humanities feelings, emotions and believes in motion in a way that it can be viewed over and over again.
Saved for future generations.

If today all humanity came to cease to exist like “ATLANTIS” the new inhabitants of the earth would learn about our way of life: dance movements, facial expressions, beautiful different skin colors, rituals, religions, feelings, emotions and beliefs, not through still pictures, books or politics but only through cinema. There’s no other medium as accurate as cinema.

This is a paint located at the entrance of my neighborhood library. you can not miss to noticed at first glance that all the kids are white and the ladies (nannies) are black and latina... I caught myself asking:

1-Is it racist or just a depiction of our reality ?
2-If it’s not racist, why not have a black mother and son, Latino mother and son, and a white mother and son? ? (Or sister, or white nannies, u get it).

3-Isn’t this picture automatic saying that all the black/Latinos that live in our neighborhood are serventes of WHITES.
Please correct me if I’m wrong.
