I and all the Villagers would like to THANK YOU ALL for your help during this journey! πŸ˜ƒπŸ₯³

See you all ten thousand in the village before 475 days... I hope! πŸ˜‚πŸ‘

Hi Lego fans! A couple of years ago I visited a town of medieval origins in Northern Italy and I bumped into a historical re-enactment fair. There I found an artist who entertained children with some games of the past. One of them was the evergreen game of throwing circular rings at a stick. But in this case, since we were in a Medieval fair, the sticks were... swords! πŸ˜…

I thought it was a nice idea to recreate this kind of ageless games through the most beautiful game in the world, that is our beloved Lego! πŸ’‘πŸ˜

I hope you like this little subseries about kids' games of yesteryear. If so... like, share, follow and comment!

PS: The Modular Medieval Village is very close to reach 5.000 supporters! Don't forget to spread the word! https://ideas.lego.com/projects/cccedb24-d5a2-4170-b4d5-837f16520941 πŸ˜‰πŸ‘

Hi Lego fans! πŸ€“ At the end of the Roman Empire and in the first centuries of the Middle Ages, a particular vehicle was used for the transport of noble women. It was a sort of a litter but it was carried by two horses or mules instead of by... slaves 😐

In this old model of mine I've used just for fun a couple of cows but at the end I really love the very ancient ancient look of this vehicle! In my opinion it's so out of the ordinary that it could be a nice addition to any medieval village, instead of the usual wagons πŸ’‘πŸ˜€

I've also made a fast prototype to test the design of the litter and the brick-built white and tan curtain appears to be a little flimsy, but I find it stable enough for amateur display purposes.

I hope you like this idea! If you are in the mood for another dip in the past, take a look at my Modular Medieval Village on Lego Ideas! https://ideas.lego.com/projects/cccedb24-d5a2-4170-b4d5-837f16520941 πŸ€“πŸ˜ƒπŸ™Œ

Second post about vintage chandeliers! πŸ™‚ This time it's the turn of a wrough iron model.

It looks a little bit more modern than the previous one I posted some days ago, but it still keeps a retrΓ² feel πŸ’‘

I'm rather satisfied with the limited parts number, the vertical shape progression and the building techniques, with a couple of studs "turnarounds" just for merely decorative purposes πŸ€“

What do you think about this effect? Let me know in the comments! πŸ˜ƒ

Hi Lego fans! πŸ˜ƒ This post is not about building techniques but "creative strategy". It is about the mental processes to be set in motion to get the final design rather than the way the bricks fit together πŸ€“

I hope this can give you some tips to design your own MOCs!

This model is not part of the original project of my Modular Medieval Village but is an expansion. This means that the Inn is perfectly compatible with the three previous buildings and with the future ones πŸ’‘

Hi Lego fans! πŸ˜ƒ

During the Middle Ages sieges were exhausting techniques of war that could last for months or years! For this reason the besiegers usually set up a camp that could become a sort of permanent village outside the city walls πŸ’‘

In this model I've represented with a good deal of imagination the tent of one of the commanders of an hypothetical besieging army πŸ€“

I designed it a year and a half ago, I hope you like its instructions! πŸ™‚

The dog is man’s best friend, isn't it? Many centuries ago it was the same, so why not give it a cozy home also in your medieval village? πŸ’‘

During the design phases I've tried several bases for the kennel: 6x8 studs, 4x6, 4x4... The 4x4 one was the best looking to my eyes but the 6x6 was the most "playable"... so I went for it. πŸ€“ As a matter of facts a kennel this size can fully hold the dog and its bone.

Moreover, I've designed the back side to be openable, so you can look inside. The design of this feature is very similar to that of the prison in the Medieval Castle 31120.

The design of the rood instead is very reminiscent of the Lion Knights' Castle 10305. Anyway it's Lego, so any other curved slope or modified plate could be just as good! πŸ‘Œ

And finally, the yellow bird on the top of the doghouse is a cameo... the idea was too funny and I couldn't help to add it! πŸ˜…

I hope you like this, so eventually build it and/or share it with your friends! Have fun! πŸŽ‰

Hi Lego fans! A year and a half ago I was in my Viking phase and I designed a furniture suitable for a longhouse πŸ€“

Then I looked at it carefully and it seemed more suitable for the house of a wizard or an alchemist: so I changed some details and I renamed it πŸ˜ƒπŸ˜‚

Hi Lego fans! I've always been fashinated by monastic lifestyle and this little model is dedicated to the millions of monks who spent their lives for centuries to transcribe the ancient manuscripts in the silence of the monasteries. It's only thanks to them that a very important part of the European culture has been preserved to this day πŸ™‚πŸ™

There was no room for these monks in my Modular Medieval Village on Lego Ideas, since according to the guidelines religious references were not allowed (in fact I also had to change the Saint's Statue in the Knight's Statue). However, if you like, you can take a look at it on Lego Ideas πŸ˜‰ https://ideas.lego.com/projects/cccedb24-d5a2-4170-b4d5-837f16520941 πŸ˜ƒπŸ‘

I have already used a similar version of the second one for the Suspended Cage that I have posted a few weeks ago, but this is much smaller and it is meant to stand! πŸ‘

Hi Lego fans! Today I would like to share with you one of the very first instructions that I designed on Studio: The Old Farmer's Cart! πŸ€“

The physical version of this cart was included in The Gate Tower, a model that I submitted on Lego Ideas three years ago, which didn't reach the second milestone of 1k supporters πŸ˜… This revised version features some changes. First, the wheels are full like in very old wagons, then the grass loaded onto the wagon is connected by a clip, so it can't move around πŸ’‘

I would have liked to put a 10x10 square net on the top of the wagon but unfortunately the part 71155 doesn't exist in Studio 🀨

Maybe the design of the front and rear axle look a little too elementary and old-fashioned but they are made with basic pieces, so anyone can eventually make a personal version. Even the part 18975 could be easily replaced by two 1x2 bricks with hole and a 2x4 plate πŸ˜€

Have fun with your bricks and don't forget to support my Modular Medieval Village on Lego Ideas! https://ideas.lego.com/projects/cccedb24-d5a2-4170-b4d5-837f16520941 πŸ‘‹πŸ‘‹

During the Middle Ages communities shared ovens for baking bread. There were also portable ovens and some of them were on wheels! πŸ˜ƒ They were used to bake and sell cakes, bread and pies along the streets of medieval towns.
