We long to walk the paths of our villages, hear the sounds of our land, and rebuild the lives we once had. Living as refugees, far from the place we call home, is a daily reminder of all we’ve lost. But our spirit remains unbroken. We don’t seek charity; we seek the right to live with dignity in our homeland. The world must hear our plea: we want to return home, not as refugees, but as rightful citizens of Myanmar.

Recently, Rohingya refugees in Thailand protested against the ongoing genocide in Rakhine State led by the Rakhine Army (AA). It calls for global intervention to stop the killing of Rohingya civilians. Protected by the Thai authorities, the protest continued peacefully, demanding justice for the Rohingya. They demanded international recognition and a safe return to their homeland.

Mohibullah, who led the Arakan Rohingya Society for Peace and Human Rights (ARSPH), was assassinated in 2021. His death left a void that no one has dared to fill. The constant threats and violence against those who speak up create a climate of fear, silencing potential leaders. Without security and justice, we remain leaderless, our voices unheard and our rights ignored. 𝐌𝐮𝐡𝐚𝐦𝐦𝐚𝐝 𝐘𝐮𝐧𝐮𝐬 We Rohingya deeply extend our heartfelt appreciation to the Chief Adviser of the Interim Government of Bangladesh, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Yunus, for his powerful speech addressing the ongoing Rohingya crisis in Myanmar, particularly the atrocities committed against the Rohingya people by both the Arakan Army and the Myanmar Military. His Excellency has highlighted Bangladesh's concerns and emphasized the urgent need for international action. In light of the worsening human security situation, Prof. Dr. Yunus has proposed the following key actions : A. The UN Secretary-General should convene a stakeholders' conference to reassess the crisis and propose forward-looking solutions. B. The Joint Response Plan, managed by the UN and Bangladesh, requires revitalization with stronger political support for resource mobilization, given the declining funding. C. The international community must prioritize justice and accountability for the crimes against humanity committed against the Rohingya, with progress on the ICC case being essential to achieving long-term peace in Myanmar.
