Several roads in Sevier County are currently closed due to the storms that came through our area overnight. Here is a look at the current roads that have been impacted.

Do not attempt to driver over downed power lines or trees. If you come across a flooded road, turn around.

As the sun rises over the TN Valley region this morning, if y'all see any large branches or full trees turned over, structural damage, power lines down (DO NOT TOUCH), etc., take pictures of the damage and send them our way! Our radar is our best tool to look up in the sky, but everyone on the ground are the best to find out what happened on the ground. We appreciate reports since it tells us what the storms actually did.

extending from 6 miles northeast of Russellville to near Sevierville,
moving east at 55 mph.

HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to
roofs, siding, and trees.

..STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT SOUTHEASTERN KNOX...BLOUNT AND
SEVIER COUNTIES THROUGH 430 AM EDT...

At 343 AM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong
thunderstorms 7 miles southeast of Eagleton Village, or 8 miles east
of Maryville, moving east at 50 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and penny size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.

Locations impacted include...
Knoxville, Maryville, Sevierville, Alcoa, Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge,
Louisville, Rockford, Smoky Mountains-Clingmans Dome, and Eagleton
Village.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded

shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed.
