Okaloosa Co - P.J. Adams Parkway drivers will encounter alternating lane closures, between Crab Apple Avenue and Antioch Road, Saturday, May 17 and Sunday, May 18 from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. Crews will be installing a drainage pipe beneath the roadway.

Upgrades to the Hurlburt Field Memorial Air Part include relocating aircraft and adding benches to the park. Future plans also include construction of a new museum. The air park is open to the public.

Morning storms caused damage from Pensacola to Destin as waterspouts came onshore as tornadoes. Counties to the east of Okaloosa are under a tornado watch until 5 p.m.

Morning storms brought tornado damage to several areas of the northwest Florida panhandle today.

May 10, 9 a.m.: We have a Level 1 risk of severe weather today. The thunderstorm that just passed through the area produced storm damage north of Pensacola around 6 a.m. that was likely due to a tornado according to meteorologist Spinks Megginson with RedZone Weather.
