Thursday explosion scheduled. No major roads to be closed.

Testing, testing, 1, 2, 3! 💥

A large detonation is scheduled for Sept. 10 between 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. with a backup date of Sept. 11 from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Our neighbors in the surrounding areas may hear a large detonation during these windows. No major roads will be closed for this mission.

Around Holt, our firefighters don’t always have time to run home and change vehicles. When the community needs help, you come as you are… and sometimes that means rolling up on a TRACTOR! 😂

Our volunteers may be at work, mowing grass, working around the farm, or spending time with family when the pager drops. They stop what they’re doing and GO.

No fancy ride required.
No excuses.
Just neighbors helping neighbors. ❤️

If you see a tractor parked at the fire station, just know somebody heard the call and said “I’m coming!” 🚜🔥🚒

The Okaloosa County Sheriff's Office is making clear that damaging privately owned camera equipment belonging to Flock will result in criminal charges. The use of LPR cameras has not been deemed unlawful, nor has it been ruled unconstitutional. Flock has the same rights as any other victim of a crime. Whether a camera is active or deactivated, destroying someone else's property — whether owned by an individual or a corporation — is a crime.

Today, deputies arrested an individual in connection with damage to a camera at the intersection of Airport Road and Main Street in Destin that occurred on August 16. He is charged with felony criminal mischief and was booked into the Okaloosa County Jail.

A warrant is pending against a second individual for damage to a Flock camera.

Today, another camera was found damaged along Highway 90 near the Walton County line. This incident is under investigation.

All OCSO Flock cameras were deactivated on September 1st and are no longer in operation; deactivation is unrelated to the ongoing criminal investigations.

Sheriff Eric Aden said, "People are free to disagree with the prior use of this technology. They're free to speak out against it. What they are not free to do is destroy someone else's property. We will investigate and pursue charges when there is probable cause for an arrest."

Yesterday's I-10 accident was actually 3 accidents, all around the same mile marker. 11 vehicles were involved and 6 people were transported to local hospitals.

Heavy rain caused multiple accidents on Interstate 10 Aug. 27.
