Oct. 13 tropics update: TS Lorenzo formed in the Atlantic today. The NHC says it’s poorly formed, but has a chance of gradual intensification later in the week; however, it doesn’t look like it will become Hurricane Lorenzo due to dry air later in the forecast period.

The weather forecast is pretty much the same through Thursday--lows in the 50s, highs in the 80s. Forecast for Saturday has a 30% chance of rain.

Oct. 11 tropics update: A tropical wave in the eastern Atlantic has a 50% chance of development. A tropical depression could form next week. Tropical Storm Jerry is done. And while we were enjoying the amazing weekend weather, Tropical Storm Karen came and went in the upper Atlantic.
