🔁 Adell Henderson : I remember calling Lauren London in Miami the night before my 31st 'KING Size' birthday party reminding her she had to get back to Los Angeles to attend. Malika and Khadijah have been A1 since day 1 so I was definitely looking forward to them stopping by as well. That night was sooooo crazy...

👑 🔁 from : Just left the Can't Stop, Won't Stop doc for the Tribeca Film Festival. Hard to top his story yall. The high and lows, the money, the success, the drama, the deaths, the births...life in general. Dude been counted out so many times, at such high heights, his downfalls probably felt like a plane crash (Kanye nod). I was more inspired to get in this game by Puff than anyone else. Just knowing that I had a passion for this game was enough for me to make a living doing what I love and that's loving music, hip-hop in particular. I was gonna get in anyway possible...making beats, managing...something. Writing worked and it's been incredible. Puff was just like that, win by any way possible. I wrote about Puff back in like '95 for a school paper about how he was a supreme talent and his growth in the music industry would be historic. Damn. It was easy to see he was different. I'm always asked about the time he turned me down for an internship on the street. I'm glad he did. The same way he was fueled by Andre Harrell firing him, I was determined to live up to my words to him, "See you at the top." 10 years later we took this pic when he guest edited KING Magazine with us. What a moment. We had our editorials side by side. My words and his. That was my dream to myself coming true...and I'm not stopping. Neither has he. Glad he hasn't cus we all still use his blueprint. The rough side of winning in this industry, he's the master of it.
Congrats Puff. Enjoy the longevity. Enjoy your success. Show us how it's done...so we can top it. . &
