Ever wonder that difference between HMO
(or what other people know as, Health Card) and HEALTH INSURANCE.
***************************************************
Madami akong nababalitaan na nagkakasakit, kaya maganda siguro pagusapan natin ang HMO at HEALTH INSURANCE. Ano ba ang pinagkaiba nila? Ano ba ang mga benefits nila?
Tara pagusapan natin! ๐
HMO๐ฅ
๐Hanggang 60 or 65 yrs old lang din usually ang coverage nito, at magagamit mo ang benefits sa accredited hospitals lang nila.
๐You don't have to worry about the amount of medical expenses na kailangan bayaran on the spot.
HEALTH INSURANCE
๐กPwede niyo siya gamitin for treatments, lalo na kung critical illness usapan hundreds of thousands to million ang usapang treatment dyan or gamitin to replace the income na mawawala sayo kasi critically ill ka na and you can't work na.
Coverage is usually until age 75 or 100, and the amount can range from Php 300,000 to Php 3,000,000. You'll get this in cash if you get diagnosed with a critical illness.
The benefit is, it's all up to you kung paano at saan siya gagamitin, basta ibibigay na lang sayo yung cash.
WHICH ONE TO GET?
I believe it's important to have BOTH.
Yes, BOTH.
In the end kasi, they complement each other.
For health cards, usually kasama na 'to sa benefits from your company. So kung meron ka nang ganito from your employer - congrats! You don't need to pay for it, out of pocket anymore.
For health insurance, very rare that employers offer this as a benefit. So it's likely that you have to get one for yourself and for your family.
HOW TO AVAIL?
If walang health card yung employer mo or if you're a freelancer, you can get a health card directly from the companies themselves, just visit their websites. Or look for an accredited healthcare agent.
For health insurance, message mo lang ako, ๐
