One last post to feed as I prepare for a social media break 🤎

Closed out last night at ’s Island Style to celebrate the Caribbean. In full form for , I served up tropical jungle vibes mixed with a bit of Fall flair as we transition seasons. 🌴🐅🐘🍂

Most of my pieces are “old” aka no longer available except for my clear & gold bamboo mules that are linked on my .ltk (link in bio).

Recently started watching Living Single which debuted 30 years ago 🎉 when I was 6 years old.

Today while watching Season 3, I spotted Synclaire James-Jones in a dress that looked so familiar 😊🤩 Super fun right?!

To think, a show from all those years ago is still so relevant, inspirational, joyful funny and entertaining 🙌🏽 It’s the definition of timeless 🖤📺✨

Summer is slipping by & I’m intentionally slowing down & enjoying the days.

A L💛VE ST🪮RY

In 2020, during lockdown I won a fun giveaway from & immediately fell in love with the products as well as the vision of the company 🖤

The beautiful packaging made me want to flex my developing Creative Director muscles 💪🏽 so with phone, tripod, ring light and some fabric in hand, I quickly setup a scrappy in-home studio to tell this joyful hair love story.

As with most of my work, I love telling stories through a modern lens while reflecting on the past. I wanted to reference beauties who dazzled & inspired us with their glorious crowns, so I included my 1977 issue of Jet Magazine which featured the incredible Lena Horne, Diahann Carroll & Barbara McNair on the cover ✨

Today, I submitted 3 new articles for the next issue of . They fall under the fashion, lifestyle & travel categories and I look forward to sharing with you all.

In the past I never considered writing to be one of my gifts, I’m more visual but God has a pretty good sense of humor and will oftentimes lead you to stretch & develop areas of yourself you never imagined.

I always felt it was important to share OUR stories through OUR lens and I’m grateful for every opportunity to do so. I hope you all will find value in this work. More to come, stay tuned 🤎✨

Couldn’t quite put my finger on why this first photo I took a few months ago and felt familiar, then I was going through one of my college albums on Facebook & found the 2nd pic.

I was like awww, these were both taken in the month of May with me admiring the Peonies, then I looked closer at the actual dates and they were both taken on May 12th.

Dunno 🤷🏽‍♀️ what that means but it made me 😳👀🤔

Really enjoy combining cherry red with tortoise shell accessories. There’s something unexpected about the red and brown combo that works❤️🤎

Shot a few years ago while I was in Mexico City wearing all accessories. My big sis and artist extraordinaire custom-made these earrings with an illustration of my costume inside (swipe to the 2nd slide to see the real image)👳🏽‍♀️🥭🍍🍉🍌🍇🍐🍊🍋

We’re considering bringing similar ones to the shop later on this year.
There’s just been a lot going on recently, so slowing down in some areas to accommodate others; the dance of entrepreneurship.

p.s. This is a flashback from one of my 2017 blog posts where I dived into Guyana’s Rodeo culture. I’m rocking a Mexican wedding dress cinched at the waist with a thrifted braided brown belt to create a high-low effect so I could show off my Mom’s cowgirl boots, I borrowed. Vintage sombrero earrings play up the theme & I need to locate this fringe purse from zara.
