UPDATE: After facing fan backlash, Sony has announced that those who buy "Horizon: Forbidden West" for PS4 will get a free upgrade to the PS5 version. This decision applies to both physical and digital purchases.

In the past, Sony had promised the free upgrade for this game, but it apparently moved back on that promise, some days ago, when Horizon's various editions were announced. It's good to see that the company has now fixed its mistake.

However, moving forward, Sony will charge a $10 fee for PS4-to-PS5 upgrades of their first-party exclusive games.
