Tonight we went out to dinner. My nine month old son was kinda fussy and getting into everything until he saw a beautiful little girl sitting in the booth behind us. They both continued baby talk and reaching out for each other, touching and holding hands. I thought it was the most beautiful thing ever. I wish we all saw the same thing through these young eyes. This world would be a much more beautiful place! 💓

There are great people all around you…believe that because it’s true. ⬇️
"Yesterday Baby Girl calls dad crying - she left her wallet on the bus! We're all upset and she naively asks if she'll get it back. Not wanting to crush her spirit anymore-I admitted it was highly unlikely. Get home and there is a young man banging on my door, stirring up the babies... ? 'Can I help you?' He responds he's looking for AK? 'So who are you?' He begins- 'I found her wallet on the bus and wanted to return it. Everything is still in it, even the money. It happened to me a few weeks ago and I know how bad it feels.' Dad took money out of his pocket and gave him what he had. I couldn't let him go, we talked, he touched my heart some more so I reached into her wallet and gave him the $20 that was sitting there! Turns out young Baxter is 19, goes to school in NY AND is the son of a co-worker(small world)... This gesture has doused my cynicism and restored my faith. Mr & Mrs Charles Perkins you should be proud AND he has become an honorary member of our family."

Last semester my history teacher at UAFS told me to not worry about putting my daughter in daycare but to bring her to class with me all semester. Not only did she and another professor allow me to bring her but Professor Slagle also held her every lecture to allow me to take notes.

Thursday night, I was sitting in my garage smoking a cigarette. Horrible habit, I know. 4 young men rushed me, decided they wanted my car, beat me up, and wanted my keys. I told them the keys were in the house. They decided to go in. What they weren’t expecting were my 2 80lb Pit Bulls. They are sweethearts and the kindest dogs you’ll ever know, but protect their home and owner with finesse. My beautiful babies charged these as****es and stood over me as I laid on the floor of my garage, forever protecting me. They are rescues. Unwanted dogs. They saved my life. Please consider adopting a rescue. They might save your life too.

Late last night Myles went on & on about how he had to be twins with a boy in his class for Twin Day because they look exactly the same- same eyes, same hair.
He was adamant that they were identical.
So after the kids went to bed I headed to Walmart at 9pm to get matching outfits.
Their teacher sent me this picture today.
My heart melted.
Obviously two very different children, but Myles didn’t see that.
Wouldn’t the world be such a better place if we could all view it through the eyes of a couple 5yr olds♥️
