Afghan forces shelling in Kurram district results in casualties
In the latest escalation of cross-border violence, the Afghan forces initiated unprovoked shelling on several areas within #Pakistan's #Kurram district late last night. The affected regions included Paasho, Rishaka, Givi, Speena Shaga, & Luti Sangar.
According to local sources, the shelling has resulted in significant casualties, with reports indicating that at least 13 individuals on the #Afghan side have been killed. Announcements are being made on the Afghan side, urging families to retrieve the bodies of the deceased.
The situation remains tense as authorities on both sides assess the damage & casualties. This incident marks another violent episode in the troubled border region with #Afghanistan.

Today, Pakistan Army conducted successful training launch of Fatah-II Guided Rocket System with a range of 400 kilometres.
The launch was aimed at perfecting the launch drills and procedures. Equipped with state-of-the-art navigation system, unique trajectory and manoeuvrable features, Fatah-II is capable of engaging targets with high precision and defeating any missile defence system. Fatah -II is being inducted in #Pakistan’s Artillery Divisions for stand-off, precision engagement of deep targets. The rocket system will significantly upgrade the reach and lethality of Pakistan Army’s conventional arsenal. Flight test was witnessed by Chief of the General Staff Pakistan Army, senior officers from the three services and dedicated scientists and engineers.
President, Prime Minister of Pakistan, Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee, Chief of Army Staff and all Services Chiefs congratulated participating troops and scientists on this excellent achievement.

GHQ Investiture ceremony was held at General Headquarters Rawalpindi. General Syed Asim Munir, NI (M), Chief of Army Staff (COAS) conferred military awards upon Army personnel for their acts of gallantry during operations and meritorious services rendered to the nation.
A large number of senior Army officers and families of awardees attended the ceremony. officers & soldiers were awarded medals including Sitara-I-Imtiaz (Military) and Tamgha-I- Basalat. Medals of Shuhada were received by their family members.
Paying rich tribute to Shuhada and Ghazis, COAS said that there is nothing more noble than laying one’s life for defence of motherland and the sacrifices of our martyrs strengthen our resolve to fight with utmost dedication and spirit of sacrifice.
COAS also lauded brave families of Shuhada for their high spirits and sacrifices rendered by them. COAS said that Shuhada and Ghazis are our national heroes and the nation owes its independence and security to the sacrifices of its valiant warriors. Our Shuhada are, indeed, the beacons of hope and resilience for the nation.
According to the United Nations, the number of death tolls from the flash floods in #Baghlan province, #Afghanistan, has reached around 300.

General Syed Asim Munir, NI (M), Chief of Army Staff (COAS) visited Lahore Garrison, today. COAS laid floral wreath at Martyrs' Monument and paid solemn tribute to the Shuhada who sacrificed their lives for the motherland.
COAS was given detailed briefing on operational preparedness of the formation.
While addressing the Garrison officers and soldiers at Corps Headquarters, COAS lauded the troops for their services to nation and appreciated their professionalism. COAS underscored that inimical forces and their abettors have unleashed digitial terrorism and are trying hard to create division between Armed Forces and people of Pakistan through peddling lies, fake news and propaganda. However, the designs of all these forces will be defeated with the support of the nation.
COAS asserted that every soldier and officer of Pakistan Army puts his duties and responsibilities first, regardless of any other affiliations or preferences and continue to render extreme sacrifices on daily basis.
COAS said that 9th May will undoubtedly remain a black day in the history of Pakistan when deliberately indoctrinated and insidiously guided miscreants attacked the symbols of the state and national unity, disgracefully desecrating the Shuhada monuments.
Due to these deplorable acts of criminally orchestrated violence, enemies of Pakistan were provided the opportunity to mock the state and the nation. COAS deplored that now the same plotters were brazenly and shamelessly trying to twist the narrative and implicate the state in this despicable endeavour. The Graduation Ceremony of 149th GD (P), 95th Engg, 105th Air Defence, 25th A&SD, 8th Log and 131st Combat Support Courses was held at PAF Academy Asghar Khan today. Chief of Army Staff, General Syed Asim Munir, NI (M) was the Chief Guest at the occasion. Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu, NI (M), Chief of the Air Staff, Pakistan Air Force, was also present at the occasion.
Upon his arrival at the Academy, the Chief Guest was received by Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu, Chief of the Air Staff, Pakistan Air Force.
A total of 144 Aviation Cadets, 1 Gentleman Cadet and 4 Naval Cadets graduated during the ceremony. The Chief Guest awarded trophies to the distinction holders.

In Mir Ali, North #Waziristan, the #Pakistan Army conducted a timely rescue operation, saving a driver and his vehicle from drowning in the flooded Tochi River.
The vehicle, a Toyota Hilux, succumbed to the river's strong currents during the crossing. The Army unit swiftly retrieved the driver from the river & used an excavator to pull the vehicle to safety.
The operation prevented loss of life & garnered appreciation from local residents & leaders.

On behalf of the President of Islamic Republic of #Pakistan, General Sahir Shamshad Mirza, Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee, conferred civil awards to the eminent scientists and engineers from strategic organizations for their meritorious services at the Investiture Ceremony held at Chaklala Garrison, Rawalpindi.
A total of 35 awardees were conferred with the awards, 7 x officers were awarded Sitara-i-Imtiaz, 15 x officers were awarded President’s Award for Pride of Performance and 13 x officers were awarded Tamgha-i-Imtiaz.
Chairman JCSC lauded the services of the scientists and engineers; hailing them as the nation’s unseen heroes. امدادی سامان وصولی کے بعد تقسیم کے لئے غزہ روانہ کر دیا جائے گا۔
امدادی سامان کی آٹھویں کھیپ 350 ٹن امدادی سامان پر مشتمل ہے جس میں ادویات و طبی سامان، خشک خوراک، ہائی جین کٹس، خیمے اور جیریکین شامل ہیں۔
پاکستان کی جانب سے اب تک غزہ کی مصیبت زدہ عوام کے لئے مجموعی طور پر 630 ٹن امدادی سامان روانہ کیا جا چکا ہے
اس سے قبل بھیجے گئے سامان ميں خیمے، سرجیکل سامان، ادویات اور فوڈ پیکس و دیگر اشیائے ضروریا شامل تھیں۔

Passing Out parade of cadets of 149th PMA Long Course, 14th Mujahid Course, 68th Integrated Course and 23rd Lady Cadet Course was held at Pakistan Military Academy (PMA) Kakul today. 49 Cadets from friendly countries were also among the passed out cadets.
General Sahir Shamshad Mirza, NI (M), Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee was the Chief Guest while General Metin Gürak, Chief of the Turkish General Staff was Guest of Honour on the occasion.
CJCSC reviewed and addressed the parade. CJCSC and the Turkish Chief of General Staff gave away awards to the distinguished cadets.
The coveted Sword of Honour was awarded to Academy Senior Under Officer Muhammad Nauman Abdullah and President's Gold medal to Company Senior Under Officer Muhammad Abdullah Javed of 149th PMA Long Course. The Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee Overseas Gold Medal was awarded to Friendly Country Senior Under Officer Fahad Bin Aqil Al Towarqi Al Fallaj from Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The COAS Cane was awarded to Course Under Officer Ilyas Khan of 14th Mujahid Course. The Commandant's Canes were awarded to Course Junior Under Officer Danish Sattar of 68th Integrated Course and Course Under Officer Sher Bano of 23rd Lady Cadet Course.
The Chairman JCSC felicitated the passing out cadets and their proud parents on the successful completion of their training at PMA.
On the occasion, General Sahir Shamshad Mirza said, "Since its inception, PMA has remained the cradle of leadership and center of excellence for cadets joining the premier institution of Army. ۔ چترال میں ریسکیو آپریشن کے بعد کئ رابطہ سڑکوں کو بحال کر دیا گیا ہے۔
۔ ضلع خیبر کے علاقہ شلمان میں بھی لینڈ سلائیڈنگ کے بعد پاک فوج نے ایمرجنسی بنیادوں پر کام کرتے ہوئے رابطہ سڑک بحال کر دی۔
