Day 6 of 31: This little thing of ours. when i showed up to the park at 14y/o I knew I wanted be apart of the organization but back then i couldn’t tell you the difference between a the three point line and the free throw line

My uncle, Ken Stevens ( he’s not my dad lol) took me under his wing and nurtured my curiosity for the tournament. I grew to love the game of basketball but didn’t know where i fit in necessarily. I never played, i never tried out for a team, i was really green to the space. I loved media though - being in front of or behind a camera was something the felt natural to me. I bridged both worlds and started to make friends with the photographers and videographers on the sidelines at the park. The rest is really history now. Most days i still don’t know what I’m doing, but i give dyckman everything i got because Family Business is the most important.

Thank you Uncle Kenny - for trusting me, for letting me lead and make mistakes and learn.

Dyckman Basketball is special. Where else would you rather be?

P.S: i thought the biggest thing I’d ever do at dyckman was have our very Snapchat filter / geo-tag lmaooo. God really said THINK BIG!!!

Social media changed the trajectory of my life.In 2011 I went to college to be a lawyer but I always had an affinity for the internet and social media apps. Fast forward to 2020 and I am the Media Director/ Brand Manger at the biggest Streetball tournament on the east coast.
