Croydon Colonnade, a new addition to London’s public spaces, designed to provide a convenient pedestrian route for the community and features the work of , who has created nearly 14,000 porcelain tile signposts that are both functional and aesthetically pleasing. The arcade itself is an impressive structure, towering at 7 meters high, and composed entirely of large, three-dimensional porcelain tiles. The use of porcelain tiles not only adds to the stunning visual appeal of the colonnade but also ensures the arcade is durable and able to withstand heavy footfall.

Vejle Fjord in Jutland stretches east from its head at the city of Vejle to its mouth at the Kattegat Sea. Fjordenhus stands in the water alongside Havneøen (The Harbour Island), a man-made island that was developed in response to a concept by Vejle Municipality to revitalize the harbour area, introducing important new residential components into a traditionally industrial environment. For those approaching from Vejle’s main urban axis, the building appears as the focal point, surrounded by water and with the Vejle Fjord Bridge in the background. The concrete and cobble-stone surfaces of the expansive plaza in front of the building are echoed in the design of Günther Vogt’s jetty, while the cylindrical forms and distinctive brickwork of Fjordenhus nod to the historical harbor typologies of warehouses and silos. Set against the backdrop of the fjord, the building itself breaks the smooth plane of the water.

This will be the final study - for now - of sand dunes becoming buildings.

Next I intend to focus on snowy scenes in mountains in preparation for a trip to Kitzbuhel at the end of January.

Tomorrow I fly back to LA, after an intense but enjoyable 2 weeks in the UK and Dubai.

Naghshe Khak Architectural Group: "The project is located on an area of 250 square meters in a coastal complex with different owners and vacant lands in the city of “Royan”.

The employer, as one of the main owners, was looking for a plan to create a pattern and background in the complex. A land near the entrance to the complex was dedicated to the project not only to provide the intended functions, but also to serve as a seasonal residence villa and a model for the future structure of the complex as well as displaying the employer's interest in using bricks in frontal part of the complex.

Considering the history of cooperation with the employer in the construction of the rustic projects; This time, the employer referred to us seeking a new combination of materials such as brick, metal, wood, and glass. The employer desired to display a unique and expandable building at the entrance of the complex with pieces of materials such as brick.

At first, the main stain of the building was created by separating private and public functions with a bridge which interconnected them and by inserting voids in the main sitting room as well as assigning a terrace on the roof due to lack of space on the land..."

MoMa House is located in the Puebla Province of México, in the municipality of San Pedro Cholula. This town is one of the growing areas of the Puebla Valley, and yet, there still are many agriculture parcels, clay furnaces, factories and traditional workshops still run by local families.

Nanhai Art Center, designed by , is situated in the Nanhai Cultural Area, which is a significant urban oasis in the city, and occupies an area of approximately 59,400 sqm, and comprises three cultural venues, including a grand theater, a museum, and a sports center.

The roof design of the building integrates energy-saving and environmentally friendly technologies such as cadmium telluride photovoltaic power generation, rainwater collection and irrigation, and vertical greening, achieving a demonstration effect of green carbon reduction. Construction of the center will start in 2024 and is scheduled to be completed in 2029.

Parisian interns at Vincent Callebaut Architectures explore the structural possibilities of mathematical minimal surfaces, particularly helical surfaces also called helicoids or Archimedes' screws, mixing Al & Computational Design. Tarang is currently 's largest terracotta tile arched vault structure, built without beams, reinforcement, or any shuttering system. The intervention aims to create a versatile space that accommodates various activities, both within and around the building. Its celebrates the artistry of the workers and considers the specific context of the South West location by incorporating construction techniques without software or digital tools.

In an effort to minimize the carbon footprint of buildings, the project primarily sources materials locally, with a focus on those that have low embodied energy. The key materials utilized include natural , tiles, and a technique that involves spanning without and shuttering or ancillary structures that are typically used to bear the weight of an arch during the building process.

In the mountainous region of Rio de Janeiro state, emerges as a countryside retreat for a couple to spend their weekends and vacations with their children and friends.

The house evokes different sensations depending on the lighting. The presence of large glass frames and skylights allows for the entry of natural light. During the day, the porticoes create a stimulating play of light and shadow, while at night, the lighting renders the ambiance welcoming.

A casa gera sensações diferentes dependendo da luminosidade. A presença de grandes caixilhos de vidro e clarabóias permite a entrada de luz natural. De dia os pórticos, por sua vez, criam um estimulante jogo de luz e sombra, e de noite a luz torna o ambiente acolhedor.

Perched on the edge of town, along a buffer of potato farmlands, is a residence, designed for a young family. The brief was to design a house that would naturally withstand the harsh climate conditions of northern and create various scales of openness within the
Shoonya (meaning zero) House in Deesa, Gujarat, India designed by
The protective house uses thick walls, insulated slab strategies, and smartly controlled openings to shield its inhabitants from the hot summer sun. The plan is oriented to the entrance on the southern side while potato farmlands stretch along the northern end. The design is revealed through solar strategies of closed mass on the south and open terraces for transparency on the northern side, strategic cut outs where light and shadow can play, and walls of different materials and porosities. The house is constructed through a combined structural system; with load bearing external walls and an internal frame structure.
Lime plastered walls, exposed jaali (screen) facades, steel frame fenestrations, and flowing terrazzo flooring come together to bring coolness into the space and form a sense of familiarity. In the earthy tones of the built house, the furniture and fabricated staircase add a pop of color and eccentricity. Shoonya is powered through solar panels, installed on the terrace.
