Abdiel Roman, an auto mechanical specialist from Righters Auto & Towing in Wildwood, New Jersey, was the lucky winner of a loaded toolbox courtesy of NAPA AutoCare and KUKUI.

Roman, who completed VISION’s General Service Technician Academy, was awestruck when notified that he had won.

According to Travis Troy, co-chair of the VISION HiTech Training & Expo, KUKUI and NAPA AutoCare approached the organization with the idea of donating a box to a young technician, which drew excitement. Roman, who went through VISION’s GSTA and passed his certification tests this week, excitedly came to Troy “with tears in his eyes yesterday.”

“He was so excited that he passed everything, and he's loving it, and we just knew that that individual was the right person to receive that toolbox,” Troy said. “So we brought him back in and just presented it to him. It was pretty awesome.”
